maybe i don't get what you're driving at... but do I need to? Is there any other way to look at this thing than as a function of history? Maybe there's a catalysts, or "agendas" behind this or that -- but does it matter? Socio-demographics will be a powder keg in the US for good reason. And i'm not throwing insults to be insulting. I genuinely feel it's idiotic to look at this thing in any other way. Any other version is counter productive, invites recidivism, and just generally lacks ownership IMO. Where I live, the 1st nations here have high incident rates of being drunken suicidal criminals. It's a problem. Shit goes down on a civil level sometimes - and it's ridiculous the crap everyone has to endure with a smile. But it what is because of how we got here. Absolutely a function of history. Absolutely a socio-demographic issue; Just not in the way you think. As superior an intellect as you seem to think you are, aiming "Idiotic and lacks ownership" at me .....you fail to grasp many of the political nuances of events that have occurred in recent American history. Lacking ownership? I'm putting myself out there to be attacked and basically called a racist by someone who seems to possess the grasp of issues a typical 22 year old Antifa living in mommas basement would. I was raised in a liberal home, attended a lib arts College (can you believe I have a 4 year degree? omg oh noes)..and spent over a decade, boots on the ground, in communities ravaged by the Great society of Lyndon Johnson, then looted of votes and independent thinking by generation after generation of institutional Democratic politicians that have created nothing but anger, dependence, victimhood and dysfunction in these communities..the cops, who are caught in the middle have been demonized by the MSM, Obama for 8 years...and now these clueless ass-clowns who have no idea the real enemy, the people who are responsible for their feelings of oppression and are pushing these demonstrations...are the real enemy. The liberal elite, who are the biggest latent racist fucks on this planet...yet their victims dont see it..tilting at windmills such as police brutality and this mysterious "social injustice" that none of them can seem to articulate coherently. (Recent FBI stats released re-inforce the lie of the BLM cops vs. minority war in case you want to go that way, I'll be glad to forward you corroboration..its a false narrative..period) I dont deny things must change in the poorer communities, I pray for it. But it involves taking a long hard look in the mirror by the same guys kneeling on the field. Are these communities dysfunctional because the people are inherently dysfunctional? No...but who has it benefited? Black leaders who voice these unpleasant truths are treated as kooks, uncle toms and house ****ers by the MSM, racial arsonists and lib politicians. You dont hear them, they are given no voice. So much of what you say is true, just not for the reasons you believe. It took me a long time and several paradigm shifts in my thinking to evolve to this line of thinking and I trust my experience rather than the pablum fed to me in School. I can't comment on most of this with the same degree of specificity, as I'm just not close enough to heart of it. You're talking microcosms, I'm talking macro-level philosophy of why we're even in this situation. IMO there's no devil to ferret out of the hole, no catalysts that we can learn anything from. We can talk about the demonizing of police activity, the political agendas, the media's overt hand in the cookie jar -- all of it doesn't matter if you're not starting from a point of "we as people put ourselves in a situation that allowed those circumstances to metastasize".. .there needs to be a general appreciation of that, and only starting at that point can you begun to make assessments about where to turn the wheel "no Whacking off the game" for reasons described by the OP are not aligned with that philosophy. We're operating on two different levels, you and I, IMO

Yes you are. Part of the problem is there are too many people not close to the heart of it, talking macro level philosophy. Its called bullshit? Its exactly the reason why in 2017, we are going backwards racially. Too many not in the arena running their mouths and afraid of the real truths that underlie all of this. If anything positive comes out, maybe some of those kneeling will see the cops and the middle American Trump voters are not their enemies..then they can address the real cancer in their communities instead of tantruming during football games with no "boots on the ground" like in Baltimore where a child was just killed by gunfire.

I read the OP and thought - WTF... That is an idiotic approach/frame of mind. I stand by that.

Sounds like a pretty micro approach. Lmao....I cannot believe I invested even a minute trying to discuss this like an adult. Btw, I saw this chick at Roosevelt field, I was mesmerized by her ass then she reached around and picked it. I mean the pulling the underwear out of the crack, through the pants move. Instead of being turned on, I was revolted. Am I a ghey on the micro level? I think I have to actually suck cock, so I must be a macro. Thoughts, Butterfly?

Sounds like a pretty micro approach. what would be a macro approach Eh, not individual based like this. I'd go further in explaining it, but I don't have the time or crayons.

What's this thread about? Dude kneeled down so another dude said fuck this this shit, I dint pay to watch a dude kneel. Another dude said you're an idiot you dont understand the things I do, I'm educated, and there's micro macro sociological undercurrents of societal history and mistreatments that make millionaires mad which you need to understand and if you do, and accept the kneeling, everything will be Christmas morning with the Red Ryder BB gun. Then I posted and fucked it all up.

My opinion is this kind perspective is a load of shit, and reeks of self-righteous pomposity. (i mean in the least finger-pointing way i can) here's a newflash, if individuals didn't care/respect their country, they would bother to do anything. But they do. You don't fight for something you don't care about. ...Hundreds/thousands of years of racial/socio-economic disparity ---> and people are butt-hurt it's spilled over into sports? I feel like people who are making this about "them" are the same people who've had ZERO education in sociology, anthropology, political science, psychology, economics... basically anything. just my opinion. ============================================== You mean the Deplorable's. I took those classes. Absorbed the useful information and excreted the propaganda. Was a helluva dump.
