Must have listened to this album a million times as a teen. Loved the songs but always hated the tin can drums and no bass line. Some dude remastered the whole album enhancing the bass, and it's amazing. What they did to Jason and fans is criminal. No wonder he left the band. I was at the "Load" "Cunning Stunts" tour; "ReLoad" was a failure, so tin 2001 Metallica took that '80s catalog on the road. They played all the Ride The Lightning etc. It was TEDIOUS. We ended up leaving early. Before we cut out, Jason Newstead took a solo; a break from the old catalog ... it was funk-based and catchy; respect for JN was high... And then they played him; he released a solo album and cooked up a tour...they fired him. Crazy stuff.

Also saw them at Giants Stadium that summer at Monsters of Rock, they played i think Harvester before it was released. Great times
