Thanks Lith. I know it's early, but this is the best I've felt about a QB we drafted in my lifetime. Namath doesn't count I was a toddler and I wasn't this excited for Pennington or Sanchez. Please let this kid pan out and win us a Super Bowl before I die.

I liked but didn’t love the Pennington pick and Sanchez was just one of those guys you hoped could be good rather than thought woukd be good. It is still very early in the process with Darnold but I like what I see so far. Lets hope he turns out to be a really good QB.

I simply knew the Jets were up shits creek without a paddle with Favre moving on and I had zero faith in a guy like Clemens being the answer. I still thought that Stafford was easily the best QB in that draft. That was pretty much universal. Darnold is legitimately the best QB prospect the Jets have drafted since Namath. I was knee high to a grass hopper when the Jets took Todd, but I’m pretty certain he wasn’t as highly regarded as Darnold. I know O’Brien, Pennington and Sanchez sure as hell weren’t.

I was NOT happy about Sanchez pick.
Think Darnold will be better.
Lithman, you are an angel

About one in three people will be involved in a drunk driving crash during their lifetimes. Every day, 28 people die as a result of drunk driving crashes on average. In 2010, 10,228 people died in drunk driving crashes – one every 52 minutes – and 345,000 were injured. In 2010, people killed in alcohol-impaired driving crashes accounted for nearly one-third (31%) of all traffic-related deaths. An average, a convicted drunk driver has driven drunk 80 times before his or her first arrest. The highest percentage of drunk drivers involved in fatal crashes during 2010 was for drivers ages 21 to 24 (34%), followed by ages 25 to 34 (30%), and ages 35 to 44 (25%) If he's talking about just the dui/dwi issues with players, unfortunately a lot of people, especially younger people, drive drunk.

Okay ... the Jets' QB situation looks interesting ... Bridgewater looks better than anyone expected, and the other two are on-line. But Maccagnan's first draft is probably very telling of exactly what I've been saying about him all along. It looks like the only one of his first draft class people that will still be on the roster on opening day is Williams. All the others will be gone. I don't know what it is with Jets' GMs. The only guy who was a successful executive with the Jets was Parcells. His own teams did well, and he put together the group the Herm took to the playoffs three times. Just don't believe Maccagnan is the man.
