Good thing Qvale looked like he could hold his own at LT on Friday night.
Starting to get the feeling that we might be without Beachum to start the season.

And that's what you want out of your LT first and foremost anyway. I’m actually watching the replay right now on NFL Network and the guy who’s really standing out to me is Dozier. If Carpenter ends up having troubles in this zone scheme, I could see him stepping in and at least playing at a competent level.

This one I agree with. Garcia looked badly overmatched all night.

Yeah, I know a few of us in the draft forum liked Garcia, RobR especially, but he looks like he has zero strength at the point of attack.
He was repeatedly getting stood up straight and driven into the backfield.
Maybe it has something to do with the blood clots and weight loss, but I don’t know.
I’d personally just move on. Can’t see him drastically improving. And he’d need to drastically improve just to be a competent backup LT.

Gotta be a reason we have kept him around all these years -- with Carpenter in the last year of his contract (I think), would be one less hoel to fill next season.

I thought Dozier looked pretty good the last two years as a 6th OL in goal line situations. Maybe he’s finally taken the next step. Would be nice if we got at least one more quality player besides Enunwa from that dickbag Idzik.

If the lack of strength is related to the illness, maybe you stash him on the practice squad for a year and see if he can play next year, but based on the other night, he has no more business being on an NFL roster than I do.
