How has Maccagan been GM for 4 years and they have absolutely zero offensive weapons for the new franchise QB that fell into morons lap after he failed to get his number 1 priority 30 something year old never was Kirk cousins? No RB, No #1 WR, no offensive line, no pass rush. Nothing. This guy sucks. I like Darnold but he has nothing to work with thanks to the fool of a GM the jets have.

The starting OL didn’t look bad at all last night (at least in pass protection) aside from Qvale who was straight up garbage. Brandon Shell looked VERY good on the right side. It will be a major plus getting Beachum back Week 1 and the Jets absolutely have to bring in a decent backup LT when cuts are made.
We don’t have a true #1 but I don’t really care about that. Guys like Anderson, Kearse, and Enunwa make up a solid core and Pryor isn’t terrible at all as a #4 option. The young dudes like Stewart and Hansen need to ball out next week or I say move on from both. Guys like McBride and Johnson have proven to be much more worthy of roster spots and Roberts is basically a lock to make it as the primary punt returner.
The backs are mediocre, I agree. And the TE’s have done jack dick to impress despite the glowing reports out of camp. Tomlinson was supposed to make the roster solely because of his blocking ability but he may have played himself off the roster last night. 2 penalties on back to back drives and got absolutely steam rolled on one play by Vernon.

Yes ... yes ... yes ... and what about defense and special teams. Maccagnan's draft picks, despite the ravings about the defensive backfield and Williams picks, are nothing special ... same with his free agent pickups ... and what are we talking about in this idiot's 5th year ... OL with holes ... nothing special at running back or wide receiver or TE ... and on Defense ... no pass rush ... average LBs ... okay ... defensive backs are supposed to be something, and Special Teams a laugh ... BUT WE SHALL SEE. Look carefully at a picture of Maccagnan's face. Look at it with an open mind. Are you telling me this is not the face of a moron? Listen to his interviews ... he says nothing, and his face radiates idiocy ... I know ... this is no way to start the season ... but I've been a Jets fan too long ... and I know Maccagnan is a complete idiot and will not be satisfied until the fans run his idiot hide out of town ... and I feel sorry for Bowles because I think he could be something without having to be partnered with an idiot (see the Hackenberg story for the idiot versus Bowles)

We are going to have live with the fact that Darnold gets Mac and Bowles a complete reset. 2015-2017 never happened. This is their honeymoon year. They get to spend roughly $90 million in the offseason. If the team doesnt play well in 2019 they are probably gone. And new people get 2 honeymoon years bc of cap mess.
The bad special teams play really reveals the poor drafting. Those mid-to-late rounders are the ones who are supposed to fill those spots.

To go from idzik to Macc is like going from the fryin pan into the fryin pan. Stupidity at the top and all the way down. I bet the janitorial staff r also the worst in the NFL. Stupid fucking franchise. Drop dead.

Is he really a slacker or is it just more difficult to find good talent that lasts?

How is Macc's success rate compared to other GM's with a scouting background? Is he really a slacker or is it just more difficult to find good talent that lasts? In his first three years, Maccagnan drafted 22 players. Four of them have already been cut or traded — Harrison, Devin Smith, Bryce Petty and Hackenberg. If five more get cut, 40 percent of his draft picks will no longer be on the roster. The 2015 class outside of Williams could be entirely wiped out this week. There are five members of the 2017 class, though, who could be goners before their sophomore years. How's that for a legacy? Bottom line is the guy is horrendous. After Idzik, they needed someone who could find talent in the draft. They got Idzik 2.0.

I'm not disputing your facts. I'm just wondering if we're holding him to too high a standard, compared to others.

I'm not disputing your facts. I'm just wondering if we're holding him to too high a standard, compared to others. hehe. But, I don't know about other GMs. What I do know is this moron was hired because he was supposedly a super scout and talent evaluater. So far, I have been underwhelmed to say the least. Other teams have multiple players in the Top 100. We have one player one in that group. So maybe he's just as crappy as the worst GMs in the league. That's not going to get the job done. I want a GREAT GM. Not one who's in the bottom 5 in the league (although I would say he's the worst). According to this ranking, he's 5th worst: www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000927154/article/gm-power-rankings-howie-roseman-kevin-colbert-among-best8th worst according to Sporting News: www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/list/nfl-general-manager-gm-rankings-2018-best-worst/sme9fnw0e3v81xq7bqrkjsexa/slide/234th worst according to USA Today: ftw.usatoday.com/2017/05/nfl-gm-general-managers-rankings-2017-bill-Belidick-john-schneider-john-elwayIn other words, he's near the bottom and it would be nice to have someone near the top. He's had nearly 5 years. I've seen enough. Fire his worthless ass.

He’s always holding a cup of Starbucks coffee. What is he a character on sex and the city? I hate people that walk around all the time with a Starbucks cup. Such a sign of an insecure fucking asshole. I’d have more respect for him if he carried around a can of beer like a proper Irish mi.ck. Stupid bastard can’t even drink the right beverage how can he pick the right players. Hopefully there’s some sambuca in that coffee. But knowing him, probably just hazelnut. I hate him!!!
