Seeing as my prison cell is a fairly popular place.....should we discuss the Jets? 0-9 has me pretty optimistic. Usually this level of hopefulness is reserved for our favorite season.....the off-season. Joe Douglas's first draft may be shaping up to be an excellent one. Becton - awesome, Mims - looks like the real deal , Ash Davis - could be a very good safety, Zuniga - no data yet, Perine - eh, looks serviceable, Morgan - raw but looked like the best QB at the Senior Bowl....we need a long term backup....was it Ron Wolf who said "draft a QB every year"?, Cam Clark - this is where I get green colored glasses on....just feels like he's our left guard next year for a decade, Braden Mann - we MUST have a great punter, cause we are the best in history at 3 & outs. He's an awesome pick, Bryce Hall - tell me you weren't sick of us letting other teams take the late injury risk and get an all pro while we draft another character player who's out of the league in 18 months. Hall actually seems to be a good kid which might mean he's doomed to work at Walmart next year, but we get to see him play the remaining games. Like Clark....I have faith. The potential of this class is 6 starters with at least Becton and Mims being incredible. IF Zuniga and Perine give us at least some serviceable years, this was an incredible draft. If true, giving Douglas 18 (?) picks, many high, in the next 2 drafts could give us a foundation to become an NFL level franchise. Add the excess cap he's banked for 2021 and we might not have to wear bags to the games - which is really embarrassing this year, given we're wearing them in our football caves inside our own homes......my wife thinks all Jet fans are suffering from a mental illness that's really hard to pronounce......she's probably right. Lastly, Douglas needs to fire that front office guy he hired from the Colts. Desir and Quincey what's his name were the last NFL decisions that a-hole should ever make. Let him play in the sandbox with Mike Mac and John Idziot. I'd like to think his free agent bargain basement signings were only made to ensure we had 53 somewhat competent game day players and he was focused on a 2-3 year repair mission all along. Lastly (for reals this time), gotta draft Trevor L if we get #1 pick. Sucks to give up on mono Sam but he's due for a second contract before we're done with the rebuild. My keyboard works fine in here and I haven't run into Ray Ray from the old JetsInsider days.....ah, the good old days of getting nothing but the best raging insults.....from the true idiot. Kind of figured he'd be lurking in a dark cold sewer like the Hampurgatory. Fortunately, he's not here, so I'm a content prisoner destined to serve my time. Not really, Trump will pardon me, Flynn and the rest of his posse soon. But serioussly.....anyone else actually feeling a sense of hope that we finally have a GM that can draft players and maybe build a team we can watch in public? |

The scary issue relative to whether Gase gets fired is that it's not up to Joe....Gase reports directly to ownership. I worry that little brother isn't going to make the decision. Given Trump is leaving office(?) Woody is coming home from England in the Spring (getting fired, for first time in his life? Haha). A third grader knows Gase must go, but these inbred morons? Will they go cheap and avoid paying an ex coach millions to go away? They need to sell the franchise for the sake of Jet Nation.

Given I remain a prisoner of Hampurgatory, I used an old broken Jets helmet and tunneled my way to another location. My escape proved fruitless as I sprang up in the latest Jets Insider forum. The forum was dark, musty and covered by posters of the Dan Marino fake spike. Last post was from 2015. I tunneled back to Hampurgatory where at least I can be insulted by Jets Thing and await my two year anniversary in isolation. Maybe this is hell.......The only news I get is "the Jets lost again".....blah blah blah, the Jets lost again, blah blah,....what?......hell?....shit just another week as a Jet fan. I gotta get some fresh air and sunshine....can I have a cell with a view please?
