Shouldn’t the GM be on the hot seat for getting rid of the QB who got them to the NFC championship game? I think last year was Case-Keenum-as-Trent-Dilfer - where Keenum got very little credit for team success. MIN obviously agreed by not re-signing Case and instead throwing crazy money at the "sure thing" QB. I am trying to remember the last big FA transfer deal that really worked out, putting some team over the top. Reggie White lol?? Is he the same GM that got rid of Adrian Peterson too?

The NFL stands for Not For Long unless you produce, unless the Johnsons are at the helm and tolerate imbeciles like Bowles. The guy can’t string two sentences together.

Forgot about that. Is two 1,000 yard WR's a decent substitute, though? You'd think so, but not with a 6-6-1 record.

They shouldn’t be 6-6 with Kirk Cousins, Diggs, Theilen and Dalvin Cook.. Cooks been hurt most of the year. Missed 3 games?

So week 8 or 9, you fire Bowles. Then what, promote Bates or Rodgers to interim HC for the rest of the season? What does that accomplish? Hiring a new staff mid season is virtually unheard of. No outside coach is going to come in midseason, so you're handing off the team to maybe a worse option, Bates or Rodgers. Hopefully they're doing their due diligence now, so that when the seasons over, they can clean house. I get the feeling the GM is staying, hope Im wrong, but he probably has a list of HC options in mind to interview. It accomplishes a sense of accountability and that doing a fuck all shit job is unacceptable. Maybe just maybe start to open a window to air out the loser smell of this entire franchise. Exactly. Thank you. They coulda promoted Kevin Greene to HC. Whatever. I don’t give a fuck. Anyone but the absolute walking dead ahitshow they have now. But the big problem is that the GM is a stupid cluesless cunt who should also be out on his worthless ass. Pathetic idiotic franchise can’t do anything rite.

So you're going to promote a position coach, and not even a long term position coach, to interim HC? That's crazy talk. What has Kevin Greene ever shown, or Rodgers, or Bates, that they could handle being an interim HC? As an aside, that's part of the problem with Bowles' whole staff... there's not one guy you could point to that could even be considered an interim HC without being way over their head. And do you want to trot our franchise QB out there under the oversight of an even WORSE in-house solution, to get killed in the ensuing chaos?? My point is, whomever you were to promote from within, statistically interim HCs make little to no improvement in the team's record or performance, and many/most times, teams don't even keep the HC title the following season, so you accomplish nothing tangible. It may show some sense of accountability, but on the other hand, now you have a different voice at the top, different way of doing things for the next month, and it introduces either chaos or apathy, more than is there already. To me, its throwing more fuel on the dumpster fire. It becomes substitute teacher day in the NFL. You're not giving the next HC a jump start on 2019. They can still be evaluating options for the next HC while they play out the season. In no way are my arguments a vote of confidence for Bowles OR MacCagnan, I'm just saying firing HCs before the end of the season is a vastly overrated feel-good way to go, that makes little to no impact on anything.

Rich Cimini of ESPN says ... ""I'm sorry to say it, but our organization is bad," said a former Jets player, speaking on the condition of anonymity. "[We're] the Browns of the Northeast. It'll be a long time before they win. The folks they have don't care. They're protecting each other from getting fired and bulls--- the owner when he shows up. They need an overhaul. They're content with losing."
"They don't fit the mentality of the fan base," a former Jets staffer said of the current leadership. "Show some guts, show some balls. There's none of that. They need to hire someone who can identify with the fan base."
It takes a seminal moment to turn around a franchise. For the Jets of yesteryear, it was two watershed drafts: 1965 (hello, Broadway Joe) and 1977 (Marvin Powell, Wesley Walker and Joe Klecko). They didn't need a draft to conquer the Kotite malaise; they hired Bill Parcells, who brought instant credibility to the franchise.
"They're operating with a losing plan," a longtime NFC personnel executive said. "Woody makes bad hire after bad hire. It's hard for some owners. They're a product of who they listen to."
Maccagnan the fucking idiot must be fired ...

Maccagnan the fucking idiot must be fired ... and he finishes up with ... "Poor drafting: Three GMs -- Mike Tannenbaum, Idzik and Maccagnan -- have contributed to the malaise. Since the Darrelle Revis draft in 2007, only one Jets draft pick has made the Pro Bowl: defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson. (Sheldon Richardson and Leonard Williams made it as injury replacements.) Only three players from the 2012, 2014 and 2015 drafts are starting in the league: Demario Davis (New Orleans Saints), Enunwa and Williams. The heart of the team at this point should be players from the 2013-15 drafts, but only three of the 25 picks are contributing to the Jets: Williams, Enunwa and Brian Winters. To compensate for the draft misses, the Jets have had to overpay in free agency, often reaching for players who turned into one-and-done situations. It's a vicious cycle that won't stop until they start drafting better." Maccagnan the fucking idiot must be fired ...

This is what Belidick had to say about Casserly "Who's been wrong more than Charley Casserly since he left the Redskins?" Belidick said. "His percentage is like a meteorologist. He has no relationship to this team. I'd say less than zero. Based on what? He's never at a practice, never at a game. At least he put his name on it (the report), which is more than a lot of guys. But, like he usually is, he was 100 percent wrong." Will the Johnsons ever learn? Maccagnan has got to go, otherwise we're talking about more years of bullshit ...
