Both my furnaces crapped out tonight about 5 pm
It went from 68 in the house down to 57 by 6:30.
Furnace guy Showed up at 9 and just left.
I was so happy to pay him when he finished I think I would have blown him upon request.

hold onto yer oysters! -75 in Minnesota! holeeee fuck When it's that cold is everything closed? Schools? Does the garbage guy still come and pick up trash? Seems like you're risking your life just going to get the mail. |

LI benefits from a jetstream microclimate that keeps things warmer locally (not to be confused with the guy who sometimes posts here and may or may not be financially questionable)  |

Meh, it was this cold 2 weeks ago where I am. So this whole generational cold bullshit is exactly that. Winter of 1983/84 - had two straight months of single digit and below temps - had to walk 15 blocks to campus 5 days a week. We dealt with it. |

If you kick someone out of your car miles from anything and then just leave them is that murder in this weather? Would they freeze Is it windy? They'd have about 25-30min to frostbite. And not the bullshit kind - actually frozen flesh that turns black when it thaws and needs to be excised. Though they'd have a long way to go till hypothermia, assuming they were dressed reasonably for the weather. I need about 70lbs of frostbite. |
