yeah thanks i can go months no problem. drankin is from the boredom. when i'm trying to get back in shape i don't even think about it. down to 215 from 235 since christmas. 20lbs in two months is great. Good for you, bud. I haven't seen 215 since college. Weighed myself this morning and was 241. 220 is the goal. Weight has melted off since I stopped drinking beer and I'm talking high octane IPA's. My doctor suggested I get down to 180 and I was like lol you kidding me? My weight settles around 250 almost all belly fat. I can work my ass off to lose 10 lbs and seem to gain it back overnight. I have a gym membership and it hasn't helped at all. I am thinking about stopping by the gym to see how it is...

yeah cutting out the booze and beer is big. also cut out all junk food, i never ate fast food to begin with
keeping my daily food intake to ~30g carbs, ~60g fats, and ~150g protein (mostly animal protein). calorie counting is bullshit, just gotta eat the right food. if it comes in a can, box or bag, 99% of the time it's processed garbage

I am thinking about stopping by the gym to see how it is... Work all you want, it will only help so much. Diet was key for me, continues to be. I've dropped 20 in just over a month, all with portion control. To get down from a similar high you had (270), I went low carb for a very long time, settled in around 240. Then after I retired, I picked up cycling and that helped a lot to keep me in the 230 range (220s in the summer). Now I'm down to 210 and I'm good with that. Only thing that worries me is what the summer will bring; I can't afford to replace all my cycling gear again lol. Concentrate on basically making your stomach smaller. Keep the calories reasonable, but watch your portion size especially. After a month, you will see a huge difference in your appetite, and the pounds will start to melt off.

Not my lips, though. oof. i'm 6'1" and at my highest ever i was 242 like 10 years ago, and it sucked. i felt like shit. i remember the feeling i had when i had to buy size 40 pants... then when i had to start squeezing into those i was like FUCK THIS SHIT and went balls out to get in shape... got down to like 205, and people started asking me if i was sick lol. getting slobby/getting in shape has been cyclical for me for like 40 years

Down 30+lbs since I knocked off the beer. Been doing my best to portion control. Another 20lbs and sustaining that would make me (and wifne) happy. But for right now I just want the 8 year old sopne to get the fuck out of my bed. Kid is a starfish and doesn't stop moving.
