No one said he’s a Nazi. He collects Nazi memorabilia. He's a WW ll buff and collects memorabilia from the era, of which, I understand, the Nazi's had a role? I read extensively on WWll before I visited Normandy. Lots of stuff about the Nazi's. Bought several books. Fascinating reading. Does that mean I collect Nazi sh*t? The guy is a little loony but lets be fair. (and God knows I hate him, being present for every home game of the 2004 ALCS). Dude....all I said is he collects Nazi memorabilia. Which he does. WTF. Somehow you read some judgment into that. |

Can’t vote for them if you don’t vote Bonds right? Yes, Schilling is a Nazi. Checks every box. Word is "likeable" gets you in with the writers who are overwhelmingly liberal-leaning from what I can see. All about being charmed, substance and character not so much (like politics). What they're saying: ESPN's Jeff Passan stopped voting in 2017 for this very reason, spurred by a letter from Hall of Famer Joe Morgan asking voters not to elect steroid users to "the most sacred place in baseball." "If, by sacred place, the Hall means one in which racists, wife beaters, drunks, gamblers and purveyors of manifold moral turpitude otherwise are celebrated, well, Cooperstown is a shining Bacon of divinity set upon a hill of hypocrisy." mmmm bacon..
