So you didnt know this man was a genuine mensch because of where you get your info. or you found the Trump stuff more important? Either way, very revealing. From a news stand point his friendship with Trump outweighs his menschiness yes. These are 2 of the most powerful influential men in the world. Their relationship had global implications. Bankrolled GOP candidates. Pal of Trumps. Funny, the article I read (admittedly, never heard of him before) emphasized how he continued to pay the salaries and benefits of the casino's employees when Covid closed them down. Article also mentioned how he noticed his father, who struggled to find work and support the family, always put money aside for people worse off than them. That's what struck me about this man's life. Guess it all depends on where you get your "news" and how you interpret it. RIHSB?  A mans life once he’s gone is reduced to bullet points. So you’re saying the Mods suck? I dont think the Mods know they are Mods except for the dick that moved WCO's thread. I only really found out I had the powers when I moved it back. Not like we have meetings around here, the bozz only checks in to rage about money and insult us then he disappears for a month. Hasn’t been much to Mod in quite some time. Looking back it’s really hard to believe how much energy went into the disputes here, myself included. |

Let's face it, this is all about location. If this was anywhere else I don't think many people would give a shit. The US Capitol was breached. The actual physical damage was minor in the scheme of things but the hugely symbolic damage goes way deeper. It's visual proof of what's going on in our country. And people's bias will be confirmed. Minds aren't being changed on either side. Sad day all around for average Americans that just want to go to work and be left alone to live their lives. We are failing big time and I don't see it betting better. An Congressman was shot on a baseball field and there wasnt a scintilla of the outrage. As was a US Representative in an Arizona Parking lot. |
