I love it. Ducasse 1st string D-line for Ravens... Yesterday Keerly was kicking ass, and Thursday good old Austin Howard was playing 1 string O-line for the raiders (although his penalty cost them the game.) Point is, why couldn't they perform as Jets? Because we are too impatient. Players do develop. We have a long history of bailing on our home grown players. |

We can blame Bowles all we want, this team looks like the exact same one Rex left behind. He must be as sick of these players as we are. CLEAN FUCKIN HOUSE OF THESE BUMS. Yup, I blame the players more than Bowles. Your coach shouldn't need to "motivate" you to show up on Sunday. This is disgraceful, they aren't even trying. |

The second tweet about leadership is really interesting to me. I don't know who the real leaders are on this team outside Harris and Mangold. I had really began to assume Mangold was a goner, but maybe they will keep him around for one last year to help set the base of the culture they want. Harris has gotten a lot of shit from people but he was one of the few hitting hard Monday night. And I know it's a business, but it bugs me we can't show show some loyalty to a guy like Mangold, who stuck it out all these years, always a positive attitude, and who probably could have jumped to another team with a shot at the superbowl. You can't have it both ways. If we need to rebuild it means making the tough decisions, otherwise you end up in the same purgatory state we've been in forever. If anything, we'd be doing him a favor by letting him sign with a more competitive team. |
