He means to say that if the Jets are ready to hire him and are finished talking, that would imply they've made an offer. That would be tampering. However, being ready to hire a guy doesn't mean an offer has been made. Rather, it likely means they're ready to make him an offer when Seattle's season is over. But that is his speculation, nothing to do with Schefter's tweet. Of course. Just explaining what he meant. |

If Schefter said that they were going to flatout hire him, then that implies that the Jets and Quinn have already come to an agreement. Pretty sure that would be tampering Quinn is going to be the HC. The guy can see Metlife from his backyard in Morristown and there were already reports that Quinn has told close friends that the Jets are his #1 choice. How would that be tampering, the Jets interviewed Quinn, he will undoubtedly be a head coach next year, what could possibly be tampering? Considering NE is going to the Superbowl, we better hope Seattle makes it there as well. Typical S.O.J.F. thinking. What makes you so confident that NE is going to the Super Bowl? Because the Colts are mediocre and absolutely no match for NE, and Peyton "Duck Hunter" Manning is a playoff choker. There's next to zero chance that NE doesn't end up in the Superbowl.
