A buddy of mine who is a Bills fan said the same exact thing and laughed when he heard the Jets were interested in Marrone. I, too, am having a hard time getting excited about Marrone. Any fan of a team that a coach just walked out on would say that. Sorry, but that's an excuse if I've ever heard one. This sentiment didn't just spring up overnight, so I find it hard to justify a sentiment like that.

Guys, I really want to get excited about Marrone, but he had a .500 record at Syracuse and a below .500 record in Buffalo. All the other qualities are great, but he has not (yet) produced great results on the field. I'm not against Marrone, but I would not be particularly thrilled by the hire either. I am with you, Maury. I am having a hard time getting excited over Marrone. Bills had a nice year this year, especially with a bad QB situation and I like the fact that he pulled the plug on Manuel early in the year before the Bills season was fucked, but his team still lost to Oakland week 16 with the season on the line. Much of the criticism that I have seen of Marrone is that he was overly conservative and relied to heavily on his defense to win games. Still going to wait and see how the process plays out, but it is hard for me to get excited if Marrone is the guy. A buddy of mine who is a Bills fan said the same exact thing and laughed when he heard the Jets were interested in Marrone. I, too, am having a hard time getting excited about Marrone.

Not sure how I feel about it, but I'm willing to give it a shot.

Call me out on what, exactly? That I didn't want Rex to be our HC but wish him well in the future? Yes, I am truly a monster.
lol. Some of you are so obsessed with trying to "GOTCHA!" others that you stop using common sense. If the highlight of your day is pointing out inconsistencies that aren't actually inconsistencies, then perhaps a new hobby is in order. Might I suggest collecting bottle cops? In the mean time, be aware that you are not pubes, so kindly get off my dick. Thanks.

Wish the big guy all the best. It didn't work out here in the long run and was time to part ways, but he's a great guy and a good DC. Best of luck to the man. Says the guy who did nothing but hate on Rex this entire season. As our HC? Yeah. He's a mediocre HC. He is, however, a quality guy and a good DC. So, yes, I wish him well and hope he sees success, but I didn't want him with the Jets. It's the same thing with any player, coach, etc; if you're not getting the job done, it's nothing personal, but I don't want you to be part of my team. I'm sorry that you aren't able to comprehend that, but that's your issue. Ignored.

"B-BUT DEFENSIVE-MINDED COACH, DOE! MIGHT AS WELL HAVE KEPT REX, DOE!"
Being defensive-minded isn't the issue. Not being competent enough to understand and handle more than ONE phase of the game is the issue.
The problem was NEVER about Rex having a defensive mentality, it was that he was utterly clueless when it came to NFL offenses that weren't a staple in the days of leather helmets. It was that he could only keep up with a single aspect of the game/team and would ROUTINELY make mistakes when he tried to handle anything but the defense. Now, you might be thinking, "BUT, THEN WE SHOULD HAVE KEPT DA REX AND LET DA OC TAKE CARE OF THE OFFENSE WHILE DA REX FOCUSES ON JUST DA DEFENSE!". Yeah, that would have been perfectly fine......if Rex were our DC - NOT our HC. If Rex wanted to just be a DC, I would have welcomed him staying. However, as a HC? Nope. He isn't currently capable of handling anything other than his defense. And, that's fine. But, he shouldn't be a HC if that's how things have to be structured for him. Get me a guy who has his finger on the pulse of every single aspect of the team and doesn't botch it when he has to pay attention to something else other than his specialty.

You should add a word filter that turns "SOJF" into "I love meaty cocks".

Don't forget the boner pants. Banana hammock "In other news, Michael Sam was seen outside the Atlantic Health Training Center holding a sign that read "will play for free". No word yet on whether cake was involved."

We do need new uniforms. Time for a radical change. Agreed. I would like to see Red with purple accents and yellow piping. Silver and orange helmets. Don't forget the boner pants.

Either way the new GM only has 6 picks to work with right? Thanks Idzik. No comp picks this time around, right? 5, if the league chooses to dock us a pick for Woody's tampering.

Noooooooooo! I really like Bowles for us. Let the Falcons have Rex. If you were Todd Bowles where would you rather go? Would you rather go face Belicheck and SparklePony twice per year with Geno Smith as your starting quarterback, or walk into Atlanta with Matt Ryan and Julio Jones in a weak division?
