Let me just say (again) that Mike McCarthy was the right move.

At the end of the day, lets be realistic. The Pats are winning the division. Again. Best we can hope for is improvement over the course of the season, and maybe a run in the second half to a wild card spot. Yesterday was just another close loss on opening day; we've seen this show before. The Jets finally have an Offensive head coach, didn’t look it and that’s not good And an offensive line that basically didnt play together during the pre-season. Not to make excuses, but that was an issue.

At this point I would be willing to trade Leo for an OL. There has to be a backup on someone else's roster that would instantly be our best OL.

Osemele and Shell were fine, Kalil and Winters were hot garbage and Beachum had a subpar game. Kalil has shown absolutely nothing to this point that indicates he should be starting over Harrison. Luring him out of retirement and giving him $8 mill could prove to be the first shit move on Joe Douglas’ resume. And I wouldn’t mind giving Lewis or Compton a shot over Winters either.

the kid took a fucking beating yesterday

I think JD brought in Kalil mostly to help with Darnold's mental progress. Muscle against muscle, Harrison probably is about the same. I would definitely trade Leo for a guy like Trent Williams or another comparable OL, as long as we don't give up a pick.
The OL needs time, yada yada, but Buffalo's line is all new too and they protected Allen for most of the game.
How many times did Jamal Adams get cut off by his own man on a blitz?
If Vedvik makes those kicks none of us have anything to really say. Buffalo's D is really that good based on last year's performance, and our O is really that bad until proven otherwise.

If Douglas isn’t looking to broker a deal for Trent Williams, then he’s a goof. Guy is arguably the best LT in the game when healthy. He’s 33 years old but I don’t really give a shit. Andrew Whitworth was a year older than him when the Rams brought him on board. If he can give you 3 good years as Sam’s blindside protector, then that’s well worth a 2nd round pick.

Kalil was crap for sure.
Again, this keeping Macc around until after the draft and FA bites them in the ass. Douglas owns these signings, Kalil and the kicker, but he's signing retired players and scrap heap guys because thats whats out there.

WTF is wrong with kickers across the league? The PAT used to be a gimme and now everone holds their breath.
And I'm sure this Norwegian dude is an imposture like that Di Caprio movie where he impersonated a pilot. Everyone was drooling over him 2 years ago apparently, trading picks and shit even though the dude's never kicked a FG in the NFL.

Give whatever cap space is left to Janikowski. Get him out of retirement.
