Thank you yes. We still help with all the charity events and visit the parents. A little touch and go when the case had to go to retrial, and since it happened when we were on our honeymoon (she was brides maid at our wedding ten days before death), we finally got to go on a second honeymoon to make up for it. Anyway life story aside, this feels like the quickest brick wall season since 99. I can't think of any silver lining to this situation.

Beningo just said "Joe Namath never got mono". No but he probably got the clap a few times. Nothing a little penicillin couldn’t clear up though!

less of a 3 year jail time with parole and more of re-acclimating to regular life and interests. Wife's best friend raped and murdered while jogging in Howard Beach threw my hobbies and life for a loop. This off season brought me back to the hampur. oh my God... i remember following that on the news. Im glad they finally convicted that scumbag. I hope he rots in hell. And i hope you and your wife and everyone involved find closure and peace.

Did I mention how relieved I am that NHL Hockey is around the corner? Go Devils! (For some of you here : Go Rangers, I guess)
This Jets season just took a flying leap off a building.

He might be out until mid Oct.
Don’t expect to see Sam Darnold for a while.
That is the opinion of Dr. David Chao, the former Chargers team physician who operates the website profootballdoc.com, after the Jets quarterback was diagnosed with mononucleosis.“He’s going to miss a lot of time,” Chao said Thursday. “This isn’t just about how does he feel. It’s about more than that.” The Jets have ruled Darnold out for Monday’s game against the Browns, and coach Adam Gase acknowledged the quarterback could miss several weeks. Chao said the timeline starts at four to six weeks for Darnold.Chao specified the Jets will have three major issues to worry about with Darnold’s diagnosis. First, mono typically causes the spleen and/or liver to enlarge. Someone cannot have any physical contact because of the risk of rupturing the organs. Second, Darnold will feel tired, have a general malaise and will lose weight. That could last for multiple weeks. Finally, the Jets can’t risk Darnold even being around the team because he could infect others. see alsoChao, who worked for the Chargers for 17 years, said you can forget about Darnold playing in September and he may not even be able to return in early October. “This is a big deal,” Chao said. “With this diagnosis of mono, an injured-reserve stint is not off the table. I’m not saying he’s going on injured reserve but this starts at four to six weeks. Any four-to-six-week injury puts IR in the conversation.”
Chao emphasized he is not predicting Darnold will end up on IR, but merely saying it can’t be ruled out.
The Jets will start Trevor Siemian in his place in Monday’s game
I disliked the news, not you posting it.
The ultimate disaster has happened......AGAIN.
Forget changing and rooting for other teams.....I would strongly suggest to everyone to just fucking quit Football altogether.
It's no longer worth the aggravation.

Wouldn’t they have to kiss? Ew. Oh, that's a misnomer. I just had a thought. (this is for Jets fans not you, but I dont want to start another thread or post.) If the Jets are ever gonna win...this is how it would begin. Unlikely devastating news to ostensibly end the season, JAG QB fills in. Fans lose all hope, throw up hands and finally give up on team after 50+ years. Then...they begin an unlikely run to the SB that no one pays attention to because they quit team. These fuckers.
eh. Make no mistake...if the Jets somehow make it to the SB, EVERYONE will watch 'cause they'll find out and be like "WTF?!?!"

Joe is a fan, not a radio personality...who happens to work in radio. Part of his charm...and part of his curse. Not always my cup of tea, but I dont think he's an asshole. My 2 cents: Joe is the face of a nationwide franchise; the "Beleaguered Jet Fan". What that meant to me: 25 years of going to the Sports Bar, getting pushed into a side alcove "viewing room", because of the "local Joe Bengno". So, with Sunday Ticket and streaming not a problem. But I have resentments. Every game, especially after Parcells was hired, some brooklyn accent is loudly tearing up the Jets instead of getting into the ... ...flow of the ... game? Mix in the sound of 200 sunday brunches getting cleaned up since the TV is over the kitchen door.

BTW after the 96 SB, Pats fans showed up in droves in my 4 places and made life enjoying J E T S miserable. Just so you know... I'm a Real Fan too.
Fuck Joe B

Let me get this straight:
Starting QB is out indefinitely; On their 4th kicker of the season; Middle Linebacker is hurting; WR Quincy E out; Lost 1st game by a point after being up by 16 points; Coach already calling members of the team out to the press; Signed castoff WR receiver from the Cheats; and RB L Bell already having MRIs; New Center working with backup QB - What could go wrong; and Fireman Ed back in the stands.
My God...….
