Well then…wonder where he was off to… He woulda made a great HC. They should have hired him way back when (like instead of Al Groh). Schooled by Shula and knew how to do it.

Hopefully this won't be taken the wrong way but here is my 2 cents. Well written and heart felt letter that should be read by every kid 8th grade and up every year. Kids need to see that there are real world consequences to their choices and actions and how much their bad choices can really impact and hurt their family and friends. Tarik seems like a really good person from this. He is caring and sadly puts the responsibility on his younger self for his family's poor choices. The whole story kind of reminds me of a modern retelling of the 3 little pigs regarding the outcomes of hard work, delaying gratification and good choices juxtaposed against bad choices and instant gratification. Do kids even hear that story any more? Seems like social media and celebrities only push the gotta get mine live for the moment mentality. I will end my rant here but I am curious to your thoughts and what you got from Tarik's story.

I will end my rant here but I am curious to your thoughts and what you got from Tarik's story. Beyond the incredibly horrible turn of events for him personally, I found it incredibly unfair for him to feel all this guilt about how HE could have handled the situation better when in fact he did everything he could at the time. His story could be anyone's and doesn't necesarily have to be about a guy making it in the NFL. I'm sure we all have our own family/friend issues (and guilt trips) to deal with. I think it also stresses how much pressure some guys coming from difficult backgrounds feel from family/friends. "Your bro's in the NFL how come you're not in a Benz". I think it's easy for us to sit back and judge, but a whole different story when you have to set everyone straight.. That website btw has other articles written by players on different subjects. I didn't read them but seems pretty good.

Doosh org. Not the video guys fault that Tua has a noodle arm. It is his fault that the first video they choose to post of Tua to Cheetah is a lame duck. Common. In comparison the Jets social media team is killing it
