Well that's a good sign. Players talk to each other Actually like the hire. They hired a coach when there was a lot of competition from other teams looking to hire the guy. Unlike last time when they rushed to hire the Googley eyed dope that NO ONE wanted. He seems like just what the Jets need (smart, passionate, connected in the league, loved by players, holds them accountable, doesn’t have Googley eyes, isn’t hated by every single player/fan, seems nice, etc.) JD is making moves and got his guy.

Sounds like he has the enthousiasm of Rex without the cringe. Will be interesting to see what Lafleur could do as an OC too if he convinces him to come along.
Then all we need is a QB, some OL a WR1, Edge, CB's and we should be set.
And the best fucking OL coach not named Callahan.

All of France 🇫🇷 must be rejoicing. 😂 I heard he’s big there. 😂 I’m happy too, but I hope Saleh can deal with the bitter summers and dark winters of Alaska.

LOL...so 2 days ago you never heard of him and now you're on board! Welcome! Seriously, I think this is a good hire. it comes with it's uncertainties of course, but listening to all his players (Sherman, Bosa..etc) and Shanahan gush over him it reminds you of how many red flags came with the Gase hire.

Jets past and present are ecstatic about Robert Saleh: ‘On the right path’By Joseph Staszewski January 14, 2021 | 11:51pm Two of the Jets’ biggest and youngest stars are ecstatic about the team’s new head coach. Shortly after it was announced that 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh had been hired to take over the Jets, defensive lineman Quinnen Williams and offensive lineman Mekhi Becton expressed their whole-hearted support of the move. “YESSS SIRRRRRRRRRR,” Williams wrote on Twitter along with a praying hands, flexing and fire emoji. Becton delivered a similar post writing, “YESSSS SIRRRRR!!!!! LETS WORK COACH!!!!!” He also included a GIF of someone fist pumping in excitement. Williams is coming off a successful second season with the Jets and looks to be a cornerstone of the defense. Becton drew a lot of praise as rookie protecting Sam Darnold and could be the anchor of the offensive line for years to come. The 41-year-old Salah heading to the Jets, who finished 2-14, received an endorsement from ex-Jet Damien Woody, who is also an analyst for ESPN. “First time in quite some time that I’ve felt the #Jets are really on the right path,” Woody tweeted. 49ers safety Richard Sherman, also was a fan of the move. “The @nyjets got a great one! Congrats to them!,” the Pro Bowler posted to Twitter. He also made a bold prediction in a text to NFL reporter Albert Breer. “Great pick up!” Sherman wrote. “He’s gonna turn that entire culture around!” According to Breer, 49ers general manager John Lynch called Saleh “a tremendously gifted leader” and said the Jets are “very fortunate.” www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2021/01/14/new-coach-robert-saleh-is-already-a-hit-with-jets/amp/

Did Saleh come with any recommendations from QBs? Jimmy Garoppolo called & said that Saleh has a falafel recipe that’s to die for. Chris Johnson was so excited that he instantly offered him a 5 year deal.

Seems to be a likeable guy. Poor bastard. The other post of the video from NFL network actually said he wanted, yes wanted?!??!?!, the Jets job. So he asked for it. But I do believe this is the type of coach the Jets need rite now, especially after the mutant failed Gase experience. A fiery guy players will want to play hard for who also is intelligent and can actually lead men (rather than make men want to puke and leave like Gase did). Hell, Gase even made fans leave. Saleh seems like the kinda guy who the whole fanbase (all 3 of them) will be pumped about.

Yeah I saw it and they said another thing too which is true: props to Joe D to not just falling back on someone he knows (Pederson, Martindale..). He had never met Saleh, and now he put his chips all in on Saleh.

Any word in what Peyton Manning had to say about it? Apparently Manning didn’t like Saleh. He said sometimes you can just look in a man’s eyes & tell if he’s the right guy.
