The team hasnt shown growth and neither has Saleh as a HC. Saleh was a great candidate but you never known until they are put in the position. He is beginning to look like another one of those successful coordinators who just didnt have the chops to be the head guy. He makes Rex look like Belidick in terms of preparedness. And thats scary. I've always advocated getting a HC with a proven track record. Back the $ truck up and get a Sean Payton or John Harbaugh. Rex had success in spite of a lot of the craziness which went on and caught lighting in a bottle. I still remember him basically thinking the Jets were eliminated from the playoffs and came back to make it to the AFC Championship game. In all fairness Salah can't be judged on one year but I fully agree with you, that the growth and maturation of both the players and the coaching staff isn't anywhere near where it needs to be. There have been brief instances where I think the team and/or the coaching staff is starting to get it, then it reverts back to ineptitude. I just think this needs to play out for a couple more seasons but where have Jet fans heard that before? Not going to the playoffs for a decade speaks volumes.

Johnson’s need to sell the team. Nothing will change until then.

Im not advocating we fire him after the season. I had this team at 4 or 5 wins before the season so our record doesnt bother me. But what I wanted from the season was proof of a culture change and Zach showing growth. We havent gotten those. And what we have gotten from Saleh is underperformance in areas we thought he would excel at. So here we are with the possibility of having more questions than answers at the end of year 1. Its not a good position to be in, but its a familiar one for this fanbase.

I don't mind losing. I was expecting a ton of losses, but I'm sick of getting destroyed, and having no interest in a game half way through the first quarter.

I'm ready to give Douglas/Saleh 2 full years before saying they suck. But let's not kid ourselves. The Jets even throwing a brinks truck are never going to attract a proven HC while the Johnsons are here and/or we haven't already started turning the corner. This place is kryptonite, no proven HC in their right mind come here in the current state. At the very least you need a guy behind center that has showed promise. We haven't had that since Chad.

Fire everyone then merge with Detroit. Burn it all to the fuckin ground.
Hire Dan Campbell and Rex Ryan as coaches. What the insanity commence. At least it would be entertaining.

Uh, maybe if you coached D, he would have been efficient enough to keep us close and possibly win the game

Its brutal and we all knew it would be brutal: new coaches, new system, green players including a new QB
just suck it up, buttercups, and hope it gets better next year. at least we get decent draft positions
