Technically it was tampering. And, considering what we did during spy gate, I have no problem with this move whatsoever! If anything, it only reinforces the rivalry! I agree. I hope they win the Superbowl. They deserve it.

Why are the Fagtriots such fucking pussies? I know they're from Boston. But is it necessary for them to put their menstruating beavers on display right before a playoff game? This is the perfect summary of the situation.

Woody gave them what they needed. Anything that hurts your opponent. Could be the loss of a pick or a fine of some sort. Maybe lose some offseason workouts. Dick move no doubt but I would Have done the same thing. Fuck my opponents. Especially the ones I play twice a year.

The views that the NFL has on tampering are ridiculous. To me, it shouldn't be tampering unless you're actually having conversations and discussing contract parameters with a player that is still under contract with another team. The mocking irony is that a "legal" tampering period exists one week before FA begins. That said, this is yet another example that everyone knows except disillusioned Woodward that he's out of his element. He will never learn to give football ops over to a qualified football guy. He always knows better.

Woody will probably get a fine... And it better not be any more that what SparklePony was fined for cussing at that ref! Yes, by the spirit of the rule, Woody tampered. HOWEVER, the NFL has demonstrated in the past very selective enforcement of the rule. For example, the NFL's marquee franchise [Dallas Cowboys] owner went publicly on record stating how he would love to have AP as a member of the Cowboys before his troubles emerged. The result, no League action; Cowboys go on to have a good season. Bottom line, I expect no action from the NFL. But I do find it ironic that the only franchise known for constant cheating is howling about this. I guess they are trying to change the subject from the allegations made from their most recent cheating. we all hope the nfl comes to its senses and throws out the patsie claim. at the same time we should also hope that woody not be so friendly with bob kraft or anyone associated with the patsies. kraft is a total ahole and has been giving woody bad advice ever since he bought the team.

Well-said. Woody's toy is the NYJ while he hosts meetings for Mitt's 3rd attempted presidential bid -- something his own party is saying: hell NO!

Don't know if anyone remembers this, but when the Jets hired Bill Parcells as a consultant in 1997, before the commissioner intervened, Patriots owner Bob Kraft was furious, saying he was still under contract with New England. So he talked openly about he'd consider surrendering the team's rights to Parcells, in exchange for say, Mo Lewis, Hugh Douglas and Aaron Glenn, who happened to be the Jets' best three players at the time.
The Jets threatened tampering charges, although the commissioner eventually worked out a deal that allowed the Jets to name Parcells the head coach and surrender a first-, second-, third- and fourth-round draft pick to New England over a three-year period. So, no penalty was ever handed down to Kraft for naming three Jets players who were under contract at the time as assets he coveted as compensation for Parcells.
To any reasonable person, that would be three times worse than what Woody Johnson said (although, admittedly, Woody is an idiot who is not media savvy and probably doesn't understand tampering rules). If anything comes of this, it would be clear proof to me that Bob Kraft is in Goodell's back pocket. Not that we needed any more proof, after he destroyed the tapes in 2007.

This guy might be the biggest D-bag of them all. Today is about celebrating, Krafty? It's about the AFC Championship? Then why do you file BS tampering charges on the morning of the game? Cheating and hypocrisy, that's the Fagtriot Way!

@bkravitz · 11m 11 minutes ago I'm told at one point the officials took a ball out of play and weighed it. Should hear more tomorrow on this subject.
@bkravitz · 9m 9 minutes ago Didn't have a chance to talk to colts officials about this. They were long gone when I heard this.
@bkravitz · 9m 9 minutes ago Nobody is suggesting this is why the colts lost obviously. They were manhandled.

I'm pretty sure USC got in trouble for doing that too.
