Jets finalizing Cardinals LB coach Mike Caldwell as an assistant head coach. Sounds like Chan Gailey might not be a slam dunk as their OC
I wonder if Bowles has decided to tap a guy like Gase as the new OC.
All the reports are that since he was passed over as a HC, he's going to make a lateral move elsewhere.

May also have something to do with John DeFilippo. They want to talk to him about QB coach, but he is interviewing with Cleveland for OC, maybe if they want him, they need to think about him as OC instead.

How hard can it be to get another QB coach? I thought they really wanted Gailey so Bowles could have an experienced RH man. A QB coach is not that! I thought Bowles had wanted Gailey as his OC since before he even had any options as HC. And the guy's been out of the NFL for two years! How much demand could there be for him. This is weird.

Unless we are hiring an LB coach as an OC I don't see how one affects the other. It's not like they have to give Gailey the asst. HC title.

Would rather go get someone else with bonafide creds. Not a coach no one heard of until horseface arrived. Besides, that Denver O regressed this year especially the final 6 weeks of the season.

LOL Are you kidding me? You shit on coaches and QB's like Adam Gase and Andrew Luck, yet you defend fucking mooks like Rex and Sanchez tooth and nail? And of course Denver's offense regressed over the last 6 weeks. That's what happens when your star QB is playing with a torn quad and struggles to throw the ball further than 10 fucking yards.

I have no fucking clue who Gase is.
I don't pay attention to other teams.
But one thing is certain : With Gailey, we already had ideas on what to expect.
But with anyone else? What would Gase do with Geno? What type of offense will he run?
More question marks on top of question marks.....as always.
At least the Anti-Gailey posters here will be happy....

I'm fine with a slow, methodical approach to this. I don't think we're in jeopardy of losing Chan Gailey to another team as OC so maybe the Jets take their time on this. Getting it right is more important than getting it fast.

Nobody would know Adam Gase's name if he wasn't meekly suggesting plays to Peyton Manning every few drives or whatever it is he does as OC.

What a weird situation. Entertaining the notion that Gase is a possibility -- Gase vs Gailey is a odd contest. Long term? Gase x100000. The guy has proven he can win with anyone with any limitations. His transition to a running offense with DEN was spectacular. In the immediate future however, I almost have to side with Gailey being more likely to coax a productive offense with Geno. I dunno. I guess i go with Adam, so long as he's here for more than 12 months.

Geez, some of you need to broaden your horizons if you really don't know who Gade is. Very surprising.

"Missing out" on Gailey would be a blessing in disguise IMO.

"Missing out" on Gailey would be a blessing in disguise IMO. Why is that DDNY? He has done a pretty good job as a coordinator in the past.
