Salary cap is real. They bought themselves a 4 year window with Allen and never got over the hump. Next two years division is ours for the taking. Windows of opportunity close quickly in the NFL.

Next two years division is ours for the taking. You obviously haven't been paying attention these past 30 years. 56

Nania is usually good with his analysis. Doesn't look good This would be more concerning if he wasn't ridiculous at making people miss. That alone suggests he is more than capable of getting separation. I know that's not a 1 to 1 comparison, but that elusiveness can translate to route running

Re: Bowers - I know he can catch and is dynamic with YAC. What I care about is his blocking. If Hackett/Rodgers have any brain, we're going to be seeing a lot of 12 and 13 formations to give Breece as much space with the ball as he needs to break off a big run. Now if Hackett/Rodgers can scheme to have Bowers chip a block and peel off to the middle of the field, which Rodgers doesn't like throwing to, there may be some value, but teams will watch the film and pick up on it every time. Viewing current mocks, it'll either be Odunze or Bowers. I'd much rather have a WR of the Larry Fitzgerald build than an undersized catching TE.

The Jets keep trying to build a house on sand instead of laying a foundation, i.e., the O line. Sure, it would be great to get Rodgers a shiny new toy, but he won't be able to throw to him on the IR again. Get the O line fixed, once and for all and the shiny new toys will follow.

His #'s after first contact are also top-shelf. I don't know if there's any TE worth a #10 but given where the team is and what we have and the tiny RV-bathroom window we have, I think he'll help right out of the gate, like LaPorta.

You want/need a 1st round rookie to contribute immediately, so forget OL. Then you have a "generational" TE who was schemes into position in college which might not translate to the NFL. Then there's a physical specimen of a WR who isn't great at separating from DBs. I'd love to trade back and recoup a 2nd, but who is willing to trade?

Rodgers won’t throw to the middle of the field so why draft the TE. The same goes for rookie WRs. Take an OT and if one goes down we have some breathing room plus a starter for next year.
