This is more than just a friendship between Goondell and The travelocity troll aka Robert Kraft, or the Deflatriots legacy, this is about the NFL brand and all the other owners. Spells money and the Goon better do something substantial the public is not stupid. How do you think it would affect the NFL's bottom line if nothing happens? Will fans from all the other teams start boycotting games, merchandise, etc. or is the NFL to big to lose any steam? No matter how big or powerful an organization each incidence such speaks to consumer confidence. Will this alone destroy the NFL's credibility, I think not, but this is one of those things that will point to the how the NFL will be perceived and how much a fan is willing to spend. Example is returns of jerseys for disgraced players. |

Friday, IMO. And probably a fine. They want it over and done with before the media blitz next week. The NFL would rather have them talk about the penalty (was it tough enough, or too tough) to ultimately get past it, rather than the talk about why nothing happened at all.

There's no way that this ends in just a fine. Especially after all the flack Goodell received for mishandling the Ray Rice incident. He almost lost his job over that shit. If you're going to suspend Sean Payton for a full season over some bullshit like Bounty Gate, then Homeless Hoodie should receive AT LEAST the same penalty for continually thinking that he can get away with these fucking shenanigans. |

Goodell has no credibility. When he fined Belicheat 500K and Kraft made it up to him with a 500K bonus he should have dropped the hammer on that piece of shit immediately. He should have fined Belicheat another 500K and fined Kraft 2mil and another draft pick.

And that's great and I appreciate the heck out of it fish. I should have quoted your second or third argument. Noting that this was not my thread, the point is if someone posts in good faith, either comment on the thought or ignore it. Questioning their judgment on whether the thought was worthy of posting comes off as elitist... like the questioner knows what is of value to the board and the OP obviously does not. Like that asshole on JI with the panda head whoever he was. Rarely made an intelligent comment but was always posting "dump."
Anyway, it distracts from the flow of the thread, like I'm doing now, and I'm voicing my displeasure with that approach.
As I said, if it's a dumb post it will roll right off the page since everyone will ignore it. If you're trying to help the OP by pointing out this might be better in another thread than PM him\her. No need to publically ridicule people, and that's how it comes off.
