More from Revis: "I love playing for Bill, it's pretty awesome," he said. "We're going to win -- that's what he offers. It's great to win and this is my eighth year and I've been through a lot -- not reaching our goals in New York and being on 4-12 team in Tampa and earlier in career in New York. So if all the stars align and everything goes well, I could be back there this offseason, or I could be moving on somewhere else. It's all fine. It is what it is."

We weren't winning anything with or without Revis last year so it's a moot point. If the jets really want him and he wants to come back, they'll sign him during the off season. I really see no point in paying someone the amount of money that revis wants to get paid on a team with as many holes as us though. You really don't think Revis would have given the Jets a decided competitive advantage on the field? And what are all these "holes" that you speak of? QB, RB, OG, OT, OLB, ILB, CB, and FS to name a few.

It's easy to guarantee "we're going to win" when you've spied on the other teams, deflated the footballs and have the refs and commissioner in your pocket.

It was the right move to trade Revis but it was a dumb move to not sign him back last year for 12mio per with all that money to spend. He is a mercinary, he was always a mercinary and he is always going to be a mercinary. and well I'm fine with that as long as he puts up the production on the field. I'd rather have talented mercinaries than JAGs who bleed Jet green.
Having said all this I don't think we make a play for him because I believe Woody just does not want him in the building despite what he said last month.
If we had signed him for 12 mio per last year it would have been the deal of the century. Oh well.
And if I'm being honest I think NE winning the Super Bowl makes it more likely that Revis jolts for the highest bidder this offseason. But fuck him. We have a saying in Turkish; take him to paris but don't show him the eiffel.
