Funny, even at the time they signed him - the whole thing struck me as odd and a bit too convenient. Speaking of odd and convenient, how do you explain Butt Fumble? Over-inflated ball, I reckon. . .

And that proves no tampering how? lmao exactly Who knows what his agents was telling other teams when he was on waivers.... NBA agents threaten teams all the time....saying X player won't play for your team if you claim him.... So he gave up a $3.85M contract, told his agent to tell every team in the league he's not playing for them, just so he could sign a league-minimum contract to play for the Pats. IIRC, the Pats actually made him a decent offer in the offseason, and he chose to play with the Steelers for more money... half a season later, he wants to come back and play for even less than that original offer. LOL. Brilliant. Fucking. Plan.

So he gave up a $3.85M contract, told his agent to tell every team in the league he's not playing for them, just so he could sign a league-minimum contract to play for the Flats*. Jeff Howe @jeffphowe Follow Blount signed a two-year deal worth up to $2.35M, per source. He gets the prorated minimum this year and up to $1.6M w/ incentives in '15. He didn't exactly sign for the league-minimum. It's a two year deal with incentives. Being released immediately a win win situation for Blount. He wasn't being used by the Steelers and probably would have been cut in the offseason since the Steelers are up against the cap. Now he gets the prorated minimum on top of what the Steelers already paid him this year. Plus another 300k from the Steelers next year on top of he $1.6M he'll most likely make next season. Now he gets to play more and still make pretty good money.

Blount had to go through waivers. Like, 30 other teams could have had him first. /thread maybe so but he didn't exactly play lights out for the steelers. he had one good game and then was relegated to the bench. what did he do to piss tomlin off? imo the whole tampering thing is overblown on this one. the players all talk. he probably had a good idea the patsies would at least give him a look and his stock was definitely on the decline. now he's laughing all the way to the bank. he may be a complete idiot but he landed on his feet.

They prob did tamper, it's the Deflatriot*** way Their HC was brought in by tampering. The cheating started from the top when Kraft offered Bellichich the keys to the city while he was under contract with the Jets. I'm never surprised by a cheating allegation aimed at the Pats
