Sorry I forgot that all of his other draft picks have retired already. Well half of our 2014 draft is already out of the league or not on our team anymore so they might as well be.

I agree. There are few things a new GM will value more than draft picks. I think he's itching to keep that 4th rounder. What this means to me is that he'll put a full court press on acquiring a WR in the first 9 days of FA. And, if he can do that and acquire a solid #2 type WR while retaining his 4th round pick AND possibly spending less that the $10.5M per year then it'll be a very good result. This. IMHO, Mac lets Harvin walk in order to keep the 4th round pick. Although WR is an area of need and Harvin is pretty good, paying more than 10 mil for an injury prone player and having a 4th drop to a sixth is just too steep a price. Mac has to think long term, PARTICULARLY in his first year with a new organization. Even though Harvin is only 26 yrs old, I'm not sure that he's a long term prospect for the Jets. i'm okay with letting harvin walk and keep the draft pick but at the same time the jets need to find out what they can renegotiate his contract for. at harvin's age there just aren't that many teams that will give him the money he's been getting and giving up a 4th rounder is potentially losing oline depth or even lb depth. the 4th round has been pretty good to the jets of late.

I would walk up to hum VERY slowly, extend my right hand and say something like, "Hi Percy, how are you? Just my 2 cents. Then you both walk into the adjoining stalls and he taps his feet. Then you gag on his dick like it has the antidote.

I say keep the guy provided he will restructure his contract. This hinges on any other WR signings the Jets are looking at. But as of now, baring any unforeseen events, see if he and his agent will play ball. The guy is a talent, but needs to stay on the field.

It is still incomprehensible to me how that draft was botched so royally! Just from a pure volume standpoint, how can you not trade some of those picks to either move up for a player you want or for a draft pick in a future year. Trade a 2014 Round 4 pick for a 2015 Round 3 pick or something like that. Anyone who thought we would draft 14 players and keep close to all of them is crazy/Idzik.
