Shame, really like his tape and was hoping he would be our number 1 cb. Now lets look for Maxwell or culliver, hoping Maxwell. Maxwell will likely go to Philadelphia. He's making noises about fitting their system and Philly has cleared cap space to give him his overpriced deal. FA is a lot more competitive than people here seem to understand. It's going to be a fight to get any of the top 20-30 UFA's.

I'm not sure why everyone thinks Revis is a pipedream. Even Schefter has come out and said that it's going to come down to the Jets and Flats*, and the Jets certainly have the cap flexibility to easily outbid New England. I don't think there's any question that Revis is our primary target.

I agree that Revis is our primary target, but I'm still not sure we get him. The Pats simply find ways to cheat, cut corners, etc. and get things done. I wouldn't be surprised to see Revis sign some kind of weirdly arranged deal that still gets a headline like, "Revis stays a Patriot with 4-year, $60M deal"
I certainly hope we can pull it off but I'm not counting on it. My hope is to see a Revis / Cro tandem or a Maxwell / Cro tandem in 2015, with anything we get from Milliner, McDougle, Darrin Walls, etc. being upside. Remember, Bowles needs cornerbacks....lots of them. He's coming from a team where he had Patrick Peterson, Cromartie and Tyron Matthieu (Honey badger)...AND the Cards drafted a great Saftey in Deon Buchanon who some considered right up there with Calvin Pryor and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. In other words, Bowles can never have enough good defensive backs. He even played some formations last year with only 1 LB and 6 DBs.
The Jets are going to shovel $$$ at Darrelle Revis. It will be amazing to see if he turns it down.
