That one hurts. I like him a lot and thought we could be a front runner with the Mac connection. Ugh! $8.5M per year for Jackson? Revis heading back to $12M+ in my opinion.

I think Revis will get 4 years $64 million from the Jets. First 2 years fully guaranteed with the back 2 years as a year to year type option. Just my opinion. Pretty much the same way they structured Harris' deal. They need to spend a lot of money the first 2 years so they're going pay a lot of cash out the next 2 years in whatever signings they make.

The cap went up $10 million this year. And $8.5 million per year isn't even in the top 10 paid CB's. Jason McCourty is making more than him. Not a terrible deal. The guaranteed portion of the contract is whats high. Out of the 11 guys getting paid more than him only 3 have a higher % of their contract guaranteed. I'm sure they did that so he wouldn't hit free agency.

Reports of Chargers aggressively trying to re-sign Brandon Flowers.

I think it's crazy that the Jets have about $38 million in cap space after the Harris signing and Marshall trade. And will have almost $49 million in cap space after they release Harvin. With that amount of money they will overspend to get one of the top CB's and they should. Its too valuable of a position to Bowles defense to miss out on a guy for a couple of million per year over the next 4-5 years.

It might also be a smart move to get the Mo Wilkerson extension done once the Jets see how FA transpires. Given the cash spend requirements it might be a smart idea to front load a couple of deals (like Mo) to keep him, use some Cap, and structure the deal in such a way that he becomes less burdensome in the out years (years 3, 4, etc.) of his new contract.

Seattle emerging as a contender for Julius Thomas. They cut Zach Miller recently and it looks like the Broncos (even with the $4 million Peyton gave back) don't have enough to sign him; they're trying to sign their second string TE Virgil Green to a long-term deal instead.

Jets and Eagles were all over Kareem Jackson per sources. He stayed with Texans.

Maybe because it's in my cache, but the version of the page I'm looking at still has him as an Eagle from 2015 to present. I have refreshed, though.

Product of Rodgers. Don't care. I wouldn't pay Cobb what he got. However, I don't agree that he's just a product of Rodgers. James Jones had success in Oakland this past year. Cobb is basically Kerley x2. In my opinion that makes him a pretty good WR.

Cobb is good, he just wouldn't have been as productive here, that's why I thought he would have been overpaid with the Jets. I always thought he would stay with Green Bay, didn't make a lot of sense why they would let him walk.
