Rahim Moore, Revis and Cro are all still possibilities until we hear that they aren't.

WOnder if the Jets can spend what they need to spend at this point Please. The Jets need to rebuild their entire secondary. They could literally sign 3-4 guys and still not be done fixing the mess left behind by Rex, Tanny and Idzik back there. Then they've got to add at least one offensive lineman, replace depth along the DL, find a QB to at least provide an alternative to Geno if we need one, improve the collective depth at TE, same for RB and I'm sure I'm missing something... We're not 1-2 overpaid FAs away, we need to retool damn-near everything we can. Focusing solely on the secondary, we could easily add a handful of defensive backs like Cromartie, Davon House, Culliver and Ron Parker and still not be done. Let's imagine each of them gets about $6m/year averaged across all 4 guys. That's $24m. Half of what we have to spend, and we still need to add a QB, and offensive line help. Let's say for this example we add a top-tier OL like Iupati or Bulaga, that's $9-10m. Add a QB, that's probably about $7m for a shitty starter, since backups are getting $5m. We're now at $31m. It goes fast, when you have to spread it out amongst many holes in your roster. I haven't even added in any improvements to the front-7 on D, offensive skill positions, or extending Mo Wilk.

maybe Ron Parker ? This isn't going to help now that McCourty off the board.whoever missed out will be looking at Parker. Thought we could get for 4.5-5 now who knows Rahim Moore would be my guy. He's a true cover safety. Parker is more of a hybrid. Get them both, Parker can play some corner. We need depth and talent in this secondary, it's pretty much empty.

8million a year? for a part time player? That's a huge chunk of change! Not saying he is not good in fact he was great rotating with Dummervil and Suggs but come on!

Fitz to the Jets is now a given IMO Only other possibilities would be Moore or Locker. Not great options, but given that Mac and Gailey both know Fitz, he is probably the most likely option. If they pass on him for one of the other guys, that also says a lot.

Fitz to the Jets is now a given IMO Good I am glad Hoyer is not coming here. I would much rather have Fitzpatrick who is a decent stopgap and could be valuable to mentoring a younger QB.

Fresh off rotoworld...Texans have resigned Mallett which means that Fitzpatrick will be available.

Agreed - as long as we're not giving Fitz or any of these guys long term money I would be happy. Our QB play can't get much worse no matter who is out there can it?
