Tomorrow at 4pm. Official start of the league year is tomorrow, if Revis is still on the roster and he hasn't restructured, the 20M kicks in. So NE still has roughly 24 more hours to negotiate with Revis. Thanks -- that's what I thought, but I heard someone on the radio this AM say that they had to make the decision today. Not sure, maybe they didn't realize the technical start of the year was 4pm and not midnight tonight.

joepny1, with all due respect, there is no indication(despite the reported "rumors" aka their own opinions like ours) that the Jets are "all in" on Revis.
I'd rather think Management is smarter than that in avoiding Mr. Hold-Out and getting Cro back for a few years instead.

I'd be happier with Culliver and Cro, too. I have a strange feeling the Patriots are waiting til the last second to announce that Revis is re-signing with them. The Jets have to be prepared for that contingency!
If they sign Culliver and Cro for the outside, then play McDougal in nickel and dime packages (that Bowles loves to play), maybe McDougal can actually last though a season and still be a good player! Same goes for Miliner. Less playing time against big time receivers may allow them to stay healthy.

Its all good...you are right they are rumors and I should have said something along the lines of "according to strong rumors" ...I don't mind going with Cro but I think the more solid duo would be Revis/Culliver...but again this is all based on rumor and is probably a moot point. But if I were Mac I would be looking for two starting CB's.

Wow...not a fake tweet right? lol I am pretty sure it is legit. Apparently Schefter and Polian were discussing it on ESPN. He may still sign with the Pats -- no guarantees that he comes back to NY.

He may still sign with the Flats* -- no guarantees that he comes back to NY. the thing is as long as revis is talking he hasn't signed elsewhere. what will it take? probably somewhere between 15 and 24 m per year. imo the thing that's critical is how it all plays against the future cap. look at what the patsies just gave mccourty. it's big money this year but the salary is a lot lower than if he were franchised.
