So he was 62 out of 64 in run blocking? 62 out of 64? And this is an upgrade? I hope the two guys he was better than are Willie Colon and Oday Aboushi! LOL @ this: Love the idea of Carpenter and Boling. Two 25 year old Guards with extensive starting experience who will only improve. I advocated this, rather than breaking the bank for Iaputi, late last season.

Bilal Powell agrees to terms with the JETS per WoWomanish Nice Really seems like the new regime envisions him in a much bigger role.

Bilal Powell agrees to terms with the JETS per WoWoWomanish There's some good news. Hopefully, we make better use of him this year. Rex and Marty criminally under-used Powell last year.

Bilal Powell agrees to terms with the JETS per WoWomanish I would like to see what he can do given a chance to get some more playing time. Add a rookie in the draft and we are set at RB -- no need for Spiller in my opinion.

actually just read that Bowles really likes Powell, one of the first players he introduced himself to, was number one target at RB all along not Spiller

Agreed, draft a RB and we're good to go there....

Bowles will be smart enough to give this guy a chance finally. agreed that this takes Spiller off our radar - use that 7th round pick on a burner
it makes sense he'd choose us over the Bills. why would he resign himself to 3rd string duties again behind shady and freddy? the report of him siding with Rex was clearly a money grab. he was never leaving. he'll be a featured player this year.

Agreed - I thought he played really well in 2013 and in 2014 with CJ in the mix he disappeared for no reason even though CJ was playing like ass. I would love to see the Jets now go after a back in the draft (Tevin Coleman...of course.... )

powell can block and catch, and he should be used more in the passing game.

Pretty obvious that was his agent trying to gain some leverage in negotiations with us. Why would he have ever wanted to go to Buffalo after the way he was used last season?
