He's not even 30 years old and he's past his prime? He's not a RB taking hits. His game is predicated on his exception technique, fluid hip movement, film study, and hand strength at the line. Those aren't exactly physical attributes that all the sudden start breaking down. If anything we let him work the rust off on loan and he's back to fitness.

espn.go.com/blog/boston/new-england-patriots/post/_/id/4779117/mccourty-no-grudge-against-revisDevin McCourty: No grudge against Darrelle Revis New England Patriots safety Devin McCourty said he won't hold a grudge against former teammate Darrelle Revis, who opted to return to the New York Jets on Tuesday. "I'm going to tell him I'm not talking to him for the first five minutes, and then we can be friends again," McCourty told NJ.com during Rutgers’ pro day. McCourty, Revis and the Patriots’ defensive backs developed a strong friendship in their lone season together. Revis’ signing with the rival Jets will not interfere with their relationship, said McCourty. McCourty posted on Twitter about the fun he had with Revis while it lasted in New England. Revis signed a five-year, $70 million contract with the Jets, saying he followed his heart by returning to New York. "I'm happy for [Revis]," McCourty said. "I think a lot of people label him as chasing money, but I think he got a chance to be back to where he really wanted to be. From talking to him throughout this year, I don't think he ever really wanted to be out of New York. I think now it will give him an opportunity to be back playing in New York and back where he got drafted."
Revis has taken some backlash for leaving the Patriots for more money, but McCourty said he saw Revis’ heart with New York all along. "People are going to look at Revis and say he already has enough money,” McCourty said. “They don't know what he wants to do. And it's his body getting beaten up, so he should do what makes him happy." Revis, McCourty and Brandon Browner, who is currently a free agent, anchored one of the league’s best secondaries en route to a Super Bowl title. As of now, McCourty is the only returning member of that trio. The Patriots now have the tough task of replacing Revis. "That's the thing I've learned from being in the league," said McCourty. "I saw every team that wins the Super Bowl usually loses guys that everyone else is like, 'How are they going to replace him?' That's what it is though."
