For the first time since 2010 I think the team has actually improved during the offseason. After we lost the AFFCG in Pittsburgh and IMO botched FA that year I felt the team either got worse or was stuck in neutral every year.
Not saying this team is making a SB run or will even make the playoffs but for the first time in a while I feel like we are moving in the right direction. We still don't have a QB but I think we will benefit greatly by having a coaching staff and front office pulling in the same direction. Still would like to see us fortify the OL a little more and perhaps add a veteran safety. And WTF is taking so long to get Cro's deal done?
I am excited about the season. It is going to be fun going up against Rex and seeing Suh kill Brady.

You seriously don't think the Jets can make the playoffs or go to the Super Bowl?

No but when you compare the starting lineups unit for unit or man for man, it comes out closer than you might think.
That OL was much better than the current one, but you could argue the DL offsets that. I don't see a huge difference in the rest of the units. I think just like in 2010, it's going to come down to whether we get average or better QB performance.

Very good. I actually fully endorse what we did this offseason, instead of me trying to see the bright side of bullshit moves year after year....
As much as I didn't want to pay Revis, it had to be done. If we ever get Cro in the fold we would have turned a major weakness into a strength overnight. We got a true, bonafide #1 receiver for pennies. We may not solve QB this offseason, but quite honestly unless Winston magically falls to us I wasn't expecting us to.....

It is going to be fun going up against Rex and seeing Suh kill Sparklepony. Uhhhh...........if you want to go to the playoffs or the superbowl then going up against Suh isnt the thing to hang your hopes on. Our weak spot remains the line and we have done very little to improve that so far. So a premier pass rushing lineman coming to our division to hit an area of weakness is not promising. Cro's deal not being done by now is odd and doesnt look good. He was in the press everyday talking about how much he wants to come back and has a house here, etc...now over the last week I have heard him say he is looking at either staying with Cardinals, going to Dallas, how we can't pay both him and Revis, etc. It may all be posturing but for all the campaigning he was doing I thought this wouldnt be so hard to bring him back. It took less time to sign the habitually contractually unhappy Revis. Cro better get his ass in gear, I still remember him the shonne greene run my friend....so lets not act like your the best thing since sliced bread.

I hope Cro isn't having second thoughts about being Robin to Revis' Batman. I think it's a good start and with a good draft and a little bit of luck could be a playoff team.

I agree with most of the earlier comments -- feeling really good about our off-season and the start of the Bowles / Macaggnan era. I don't think we are ready to challenge the Flats*, and our Division will be tough, but I don't think a wildcard is out of the realm of possibilities.
Hopefully we are all feeling just as good about this team as the season progresses in the Fall.

You seriously don't think the Jets can make the playoffs or go to the Super Bowl? Let me preface this by offering up the obligatory "FA isn't over and we haven't had the draft yet blah blah blah". But gun to my head? I don't think we make the playoffs. Sure, there is a chance if things break the right way for us but I don't expect that to happen.

I don't think we'll make the playoff this year, and I give zero fucks about it. We're finally moving forward talent-wise.

It's definitely too early to start thinking about ourselves as playoff contenders. We're definitely better situated to make a playoff run this year than we have been in the past four years but we're implementing a new system on both sides of the ball and integrating a number of new players into the team. We're also now in a division with a very good offense and potentially two other very good defenses. That could hold us out of a wildcard spot in favor of teams in weaker divisions.

We are doing something.... that appears to be positive.
LETS GO JETS!
Need more beef on OLINE, a LB and of course...better QB play.

I will officially enter self facial mode if we find a way to come away with Mariota and an edge rusher.

I was telling someone today, the last time the Jets played prideful football was the playoff game vs. the Patriots in 2010.
Everything fell apart after "can't wait", and yet half our dipshit fans fap every time they see that stupid fuck mouthing off.
