@albertbreer 3h3 hours ago
The Jets quietly brought Oregon QB Marcus Mariota to Florham Park for a visit on 4/2, five days after working him out privately in Eugene.

That makes the Jets one of three teams, joining the Bucs and Titans, to both work Mariota out on campus and bring him in to their facility.

Marcus Mariota did indeed visit the Jets on April 2 (a few days after a private workout in Oregon), as @albertbreer noted. Stealth mode #nyj

Is it really that secretively if it's on Twitter? Well, the guys who don't have Twitter don't know about it.

the post article just mentioned the jets meeting with him at florham park not working him out. it would make sense if they did but there's no confirmation, at least in the post. what does this mean? since it looks like he's going to be drafted before the 6th pick it coud mean trading up or a trade after the fact. what players could the jets trade? wilk? richardson? not much else. we'll see in a week.

I would much prefer not trading up for him, but I guess I would be confident in the fact that Mac and Bowles are really sold on this guy if they make a move.

I rather not trade up for Marcus. He still needs a lot of polishing and is an incomplete product. Too many of these QBs amount to nothing. Richardson is one of the best players on the team and is worth 2 1st round picks in my opinion. Giving up Richardson and a 1st for Mariota would be taking a step backwards. I don't understand why so many are willing to empty the vault for Marcus when we could have taken a chance on Bridgewater for a mid-round pick last year, which was a much better risk-reward situation. With that said, if Marcus falls to #6 I wouldn't mind taking a chance. Just don't sell the farm for him.
