Wow. This will be a major story of the Draft. Either someone is going to get a great player much later in the Draft than they should......or someone is about to draft a murderer. I'm sure Kraft is on the phone right now.

I'd fucking love that trade and I really do think White will be there at 6. Move down 4 spots, pick up a receiver who already has rapport with genope, and sit back and wait for scherff or peat while picking up an extra pick or two. I'd cream. I'd cream hard. I wouldn't mind that at all. Given that we have Marshall and Decker, adding a small, fast WR like Austin would be great and allow us to come back at #10 with Gurley, an OT or a pass rusher. I really like this actually.

I would be surprised if White goes earlier than 6 -- always a chance he goes at 4 to Oakland, but that is probably unlikely. Austin would also add value on special teams. Would be a nice deal for Mac if we can get it done. Would also give us flexibility to use the extra pick move up a few slots later in the draft if there is someone we really like.

This seems to be picking up more steam. Chip has lost his mind.

Just think what this is costing the kid, especially if he is not involved. Guys picked in the teens last year were getting $8 - $10 million guaranteed money. Gone because of the timing of this.

Assuming he's just a character witness and all they want to do is pick his brain then I would rage. Thanks for fucking up my career!!

If this story is legitimate, then we end up with an amazing situation no matter how the first 5 picks fall. I've been a little worried because I consider there to be 5 elite picks this year (Winston, Williams, Mariota, Fowler, and Cooper), and of course we have the 6th pick. If this trade really is in place, it means that either one of those 5 falls to us, or we get this sweet deal. After the first 5, I don't see a big gap in value between the next 6-7 players. We'd get an extra mid-round pick, a former first-round WR with just the skill set we need plus a history with our QB, and still be guaranteed to get Beasley, Dupree, Gurley, Peat, or Scherff anyway. It would be like getting the mid-round pick and Austin for nothing! If this is true, it's boner-pants time!

Wouldn't a mid-round pick equal a 3rd rounder (the article doesn't say mid-FIRST round pick)?

If that's the deal then it's a complete no brainer, but not so sure that's the deal.
