Two undersized college DE's that put up one good season in college and don't deserve to be 1st round picks. Check check check. Won't work out in the NFL - my opinion - but check. Bruce Irvin says hi. Spoken like a true idiot. Their game shares nothing in common and your reply suggests you have no idea who was ahead of Ray in years previous. But totally. Don't let me get in the way of your grandstanding. this drafts talk is getting heated!!

It's not like anything important was going on in the kid's life this week. How the hell would someone this dumb figure out a playbook?

It sounds like he just cost himself a lot of money. In my mind the weed is not the deal breaker, it's his decision making. With the draft looming, I'd be interviewing financial advisors, looking at new cars, and buying a new suit to wear to the initial meeting with the team that drafts me. I guess he will be a steal later in the draft for a team after he is past by.

Spoken like a true idiot. Their game shares nothing in common and your reply suggests you have no idea who was ahead of Ray in years previous. But totally. Don't let me get in the way of your grandstanding. Um, Kony Ealy and Michael Sam off the top of my head? How's that - did I get it right? Ealy was drafted in the 2nd rd IIRC - yes? And Sam? Not so much. So Ray couldn't beat out those two for playing time . . . but is an awesome 1st-rounder And we also know he is because he smokes pot and drives and gets pulled over 3 days before the NFL draft. Don't let my calm opinion get in the way of your bravado. I don't think Shane Ray is a legit 1st rounder. In the same way I thought Aaron Maybin was not a legit 1st rounder. In the same way I thought Bruce Irvin was not a legit 1st rounder. Stop me when I get one wrong. . . And there's somethign funny about being called an 'idiot' for having an informed opinion. It's almost like a twist of logic. Almost like these sorts of logic puzzles, which is the kind of stuff I do for fun. Feel free to have at it - this one took me about 10mins to solve: august 17. michael sam who? what is it with these mizzou players with first names as last names? is there a ricky bobby on that team?

Just because a player will suck in the NFL doesn't mean they're not great college players or vice versa. Kony Ealy had 43 tackles, 9.5 sacks, and 14.5 tackles for a loss. Michael same had 48 tackles, 14.5 sacks, and 19 tackles for a loss. It's not like they were putting up some scrub numbers. This is College and these kids aren't even close to being fully developed. It takes time for these kids a while to grow into their bodies, and the special ones are just scratching the surface of their full potential. The draft is about predicting the type of players they can develop into. Otherwise Michael Sam would have gone in the first round before Ealy, and Colt Brennan would have gone down as one of the best QBs ever in the NFL>

I agree that weed being illegal is dumb, but not being able to refrain for a few months is even dumber when millions of dollars are at stake.

I am stating my opinion that I don't like him for the Jets, certainly not at #6. He was, in many early-season mocks a top-10 guy. Also my opinion: I don't think he's going to be a great player. I know what you mean about kids not being fully developed. Buy Ray looks undersized to me - much like Maybin - he doesn't look like a guy who is going to be able to play a season at his listed weight of 245 or so. And history shows that those types of guys can struggle. And, anyway, the fact that the dude is lighting up three days before the draft just underscores for me that he's not superstar material. Whoever else thinks Ray is going to be great - great. I don't attack anyone for their opinion of him - because at the end of the day none of us (except apparently Draft Gandalf) know how these kids are going to turn out.

For anyone who cares, August 17th is not the correct answer. This is a tricky one, but making a box-chart of known/unknown states helps organize what is going on and get you to the answer.

For anyone who cares, August 17th is not the correct answer. This is a tricky one, but making a box-chart of known/unknown states helps organize what is going on and get you to the answer. I'll play: a: There are two unique days 18 & 19. Since Albert says that he KNOWS Bernard does NOT know, then the months containing the 18th and 19th are OUT. This leaves us with only July and August as possible months. b: After the months are limited to July/August, Bernard says "now I know!" This means that the day only appears once in the set from July and August. 14 is repeated so we must conclude that the true answer is one of 15,16,17. c: Having seen that the true date is 15,16,17, Albert says "now I know too". This means that the correct month should only have one possibility from 15,16,17. That eliminates August (has 15,17) leaving only one possibility: Happy Birthday July 16 !
