Yup...the latter Maudlin seems like a good kid...appreciates his opportunity The REAL question will remain- is he better than Harold? If he ends up being the player we hope AND our new fifth round pick ends up being a great value player THEN we can agree the move down was good.

Easy kid to root for
"He overcame a tough childhood and developed a mindset that nothing is going to stop him. He works his butt off and he wants to be great. I'm cheering hard for this kid and I'll bang the table for him when the time is right." -- NFC North scout

We really paid a steep price moving down even though I like the Maudlin pick. Some of the guys drafted from the Texans to us were some real steals Odigizuwa Harold Duke Johnson Strong Coleman Grasu All these guys we could have drafted there. Essentially we moved down 11 spots for Brandon Marshall WIN That alone makes it worth it

Doing some reading on our picks, all 3 of them seem like really good kids. That seems to be a high priority for the new regime. I bet that guys like DGB weren't even on our draft board. Thank God they are all good kids, they sure did not have good families to mold them, down right fucked up, well two of three at least. With that I like the direction. At least if the O does not pick it up this year the games will all end 6-3.That reminds me : Thank goodness we have Nick Folk.

The Jets were in a nice spot early in the third to get their choice of any of those guys, BPA. I like our pick but if any of these guys - Harold, Duke Johnson, Coleman, Strong - turn out to be much better I will be really upset. I truly thought round three was the spot to grab the best of the second tier running backs.

I'm excited about this pick and for this kid!
He's got the kind of desire and heart that our team needs. Plus, despite not posting great speed numbers, he's a very good player!!

My favorite pick of the draft so far. A motherfucker who plays like his hair is on fire, will give it his all on every snap, and has one of the most explosive first steps of any player in the draft and has been an emerging player against the run. LOVING it Absolute clone of Anthony Spencer I didnt know too much about him before today, but I'm really liking the pick. Can't wait for Sparklepony to be standing at the line on a 3d and long with Mauldin, Williams, Shel, Mo, and Q lined up ready to knock him into retirement.
