Isn't it actually worse if Raiders win. If Tampa is first they will definitely not trade down, since they'll be looking for a QB but the Raiders might have? Whoa you're right. Mind blown.

If that happens I take the receiver everyone is talking about and try to get glennon from TB or Bradford to compete with G-NOOO until the right guy comes along

For some reason it goes by strength of schedule instead of head to head. Which screwed us last year IIRC It did, but it screwed Miami more which was awesome.

This reminded me of the San Fran OT loss in 97? when I think Hearst ran for like 90 yds!! But, this time I was excited!!!! It was 98 yards if I remember correctly and it was nearly untouched. I think one player got a hand on him at the LOS. That one was heartbreaking. As far as today, I hate to say I am glad we lost, but at this point pride is somewhere below having a better team next season. Whether its Mariota or Cooper (personally I want Cooper and then Hundley in the 2nd) either would be a tremendous upgrade. As long as we are picking in front of Tampa when it is all said and done then we should have our pick of qbs unless a trade happens. I believe Oak won't draft a QB due to Carr, Jax won't due to Bortles and Tenn won't because Mettenberger has flashed and they have a lot of holes.

I admit for the first time in my life, I was rooting against a Jets victory today. Very happy with the result. Pains me to say that, but the Jets need to be in position to draft Mariotta. I want nothing to do with Jameis. If not Maiotta, then draft Cooper. Exactly how I feel. Get Mariota or Cooper. No thanks on Winston. If we get Cooper in the first, take a Carr-esque flyer on a second tier prospect like Hundley etc early in the 2nd.

This was good and bad. Jets move up to 4 but Bucs move all the way up to 1 with the Raiders dropping to 5.
Really sucks if the Bucs stay at 1. There goes Mariotta. I really don't want us to be stuck deciding if we should take Winston or not.

Maybe we can hire Sparano as HC. He would be in heaven with all the field goals we kick.

G - Nope could have flashbacks of last year where he had one of the worst outings of a starting QB I've ever seen.....

Tampa has games against CAR, NO and Green Bay (in WIS lolz). And they're a bunch of losers so I am quite certain the #1 pick is off the table, as is Mariota.
The good news is we can still beat that Pats* in two weeks, ruin their homefield advantage, and walk away with the #5 pick at 3-13. Must not beat TENN . . .
Really, the chances of us getting Winston/Mariota are just not that good anway - too many bad teams this year. Still, sticking with G-Nope, letting him throw to Amari Cooper and drafting Brett Hundley wouldn't be the worst situation in the world.
Someone else linked an article about Chip Kelly's O and how guys like Sanchez can succeed in it. And Tannehill. With the right system, a team can succeed with a 'developed' QB rather than needing one that is a HOF candidate. I am okay with giving G-Nope one more year to develop in a better system, with better players.

I appears that Geno has begun his annual "Look, I'm improving - don't draft a quarterback" last four games of the season.

Right now Vegas has the Jets as slight favorites with Tennessee underdogs at home.
