Has nothing to do with Namath though. He could use this with anyone who has an opinion on the Jets. Its because Namath is always spouting opinions on the Jets... the Subject is a turn of phrase indicating someone else is weighing in for once with an opinion.

I get it, wasnt that hard. just dont see why we don't do this with everyone who has an opinion on the Jets. Cant start every Mehta, Cimini, etc article with "forget namath, cimini says....." Light observation, nothing more. Though its always interesting that we love players when they give a general fluff piece much more than when they critic the team. Funny how those players need to shut the fuck up, others live in a free country lol
