Love it when we bring in these Georgia boys. Go Dawgs!! Go Jets!!!
Wonder if this also means that the Amaro injury is more serious than originally thought.

5th Round pick of the Dolphins last season. Tony Pauline's capsule from Draft Insider:
Height: 6-4.5 Weight: 258 40: 4.75 Year: 5Sr Arthur Lynch School: Georgia Position: TE
Positive: Two-year starter awarded all-conference honors as a senior after posting career totals of 30 receptions, 459 yards, and 5 TDs. Relatively athletic tight end prospect with a solid game. Blocks with good lean, works his hands throughout the action, and shows skill in pass protection. Strong run blocker and moves defenders from the point of attack. Blocks with solid fundamentals, bending his knees and sets with a wide base. Catches the pass with his hands, shows good concentration, and comes away with the difficult grab.
Negative: Lacks a quick release off the line of scrimmage. One-speed tight end and does not possess a burst.
Analysis: Lynch is solid in all areas of the game, effectively catching the ball as well as handling blocking assignments. He lacks the speed to be a true number one tight end but should have a career as the second man on the depth chart.

Nice addition. I liked him in the draft last year. Solid blocker who can contribute in the short passing game. Could have a shot to stick as a reserve TE.

Blocking AND catching? He sounds as good as anyone currently on the roster.

Awesome. I was hoping we'd draft him last year in the later rounds. Hopefully his back issues are over with.

Don't think that is it, Maneiri is also out, so they are down two TE's in the middle of camp, Amaro being out 1-2 weeks impacts that, but this is more a need of a camp body.
Interesting pick up, has some ability.

I wasn't a big fan of his when he came out but I'd rather have almost anyone other than Cumberland. It sucks that Cumby is still firmly entrenched as our starter and is easily my most hated Jet now that Dawan Landry is gone.

This dude stinx, he couldn't even hang around on Miami and was behind the 3rd and 4th TEs at camp this year. That's y he was cut.

Cant make it on Miami offense, how good can you be. lets be real about it please. At least they are winding up full for the kick to the nuts they are about to deliver us. May as well make it count.
