I guess you didn't read the draft forum two years ago when I lobbied for Mettenberger about a year before he was drafted. He's a strong armed QB that can deliver needles in a tight space. Kirk Cousins will never have his arm strength or accuracy. So you'd burn a third to pick up the guy on the basis of pass accuracy when he had the same accuracy last year as Geno and worse than Fitzpatrick? Statistically Mettenberger and Geno were the same guy last year. That might say more about how poor value we got out of taking Geno in the second but I don't see why we would give up a third to get a less dumb Geno on the roster. |

And why do people think this Mettenberger is so good??? I do not. And I don't want us trading anything of value for him either. Their backup looks better than either of our starters. I don't get to watch other teams much but I did this week and it's literal sickening watching how much better other teams' QB situation is than that of the Jets Meh... our guys are ALWAYS learning some brand new to them system. That shit counts for something. All those other hacks just have the same system and everything. |

Their backup looks better than either of our starters. I don't get to watch other teams much but I did this week and it's literal sickening watching how much better other teams' QB situation is than that of the Jets Meh... our guys are ALWAYS learning some brand new to them system. That shit counts for something. No way the Titans trade him this season but I'm down to trade for him in the offseason.... Why not? They're all in with Mariota and have a backup in Whitehurst. They really have no use for him other than trade bait |

No, because we see him as a really solid prospect off of his college performances, like teams do with every draft pick. If not for his knee in college he would have been a much higher pick, can still turn into that type of QB. |

If not for his knee in college he would have been a much higher pick, can still turn into that type of QB. He had a few other problems when they were finally done analyzing the shit out of him, but from a pure talent perspective he has 1st round capabilities. Thanks for bringing up a good point.....because so many just look at him as the sixth round QB from Tennessee, and why oh why would we offer up anything of value for him. |
