Finally! Sort of wish it wasn't against such a sad sack CLE team - but very excited to see a new era begin I agree but in order to kickstart this new era I'd like to see a huge blowout victory.

No reason at all to lose this game. We are a better team from top to bottom, it's a home game, there is finally competent leadership in charge and ready to turn the page. I hate to say Week 1 is a must win game, but it really is. Set the tone and do your job. I'm with you paulie! It's a must-win if for no other reason than the next few weeks will be a challenge. A loss today and we're likely looking at a 1-3 start.

well...... at least he's consistent. I've never seen anyone so consistently negative about a team they "support" If you got a wife out there somewhere, I feel sorry for her. Sorry guys, I have been excited about this team before, just not this year. Not taking a first round wR, geno pinch and having journyman fitz just took he wins out of this year. We'll c I guess. Go jets. Yay

jetrepulsion1 my friend I look at it this way. I am sure the 2000 Bucs didn't think journyman Brad Johnson was the answer at QB for winning a Super Bowl . I am sure the 2002 Ravens thought the same thing about Trent Dilfer. Now do I think we are a Super Bowl team right now? No. But alot of the things that you need the Jets potentially have. We have to see if this defense plays the way it should play. Could it take a while to come together with the new scheme? Yes. Let's just hope it doesn't cost us too many games. The O-line is solid at the very least and could be very good if things fall into place. The WR's are the best we have had in years. I am hoping Kerley plays pissed off after having to compete for the #3 job. Could be a breakout player with Marshall and Decker seeing alot of the attention. I love our backs and think Powell & Stacy could be darkhorses just waiting to bust out. So we don't know shit until we play the games but If things break our way I could see a 2010 kind of run. Get in the playoffs around 9-7ish and take off from there. J-E-T-S BAY !! I like ur optimism man. If our D is as good as the Ravens in 2000 or Bucs in 2003 than we will be good. Hope this season surprises me. In all fairness, the years I thought we'd be good have been horrible and the years I wasn't excited about turned out to b great - 2004, 2009. So let's c what we got. Glad the season is finally here. Hope fitz holds down he fort and geno comes in like gangbusters. Hope our d is like he 85 bears and then better when Richardson comes back. I hope the pacific is as blue as in my dreams. I hope to c my friend. I Hope :-) let's go jets! Hehe
