OK if anybody is "literally" on their death bed it's Giants TE Daniel Fells who is facing his FIFTH @!!!!! surgery for MRSA for what started out as an ankle injury. No idea how you battle MRSA with surgery. He has been placed on season ending IR and they are now more concerned with his long term health rather than the viability of his football career. This MRSA stuff is scary. Let's hope by Giants facility they mean the practice facility and not their Mets stadium lockeroom

Sounds like this situation is even more dire than originally reported. Seems the infection started after a cortisone injection. Which is a relief that it is not widespread all over their facility but at the same time of great concern that their instruments are not better disinfected, or perhaps their procedures. Injections always pose risk of infection so great care needs to be taken with them.

what's going on with trevor reilly? it seemed like he had what might be a minor hand injury yet he was out for quite some time. i mean usually they just wrap up the injury and let the guy play.

From what I understand they just cut the shit out that is infected Thought I heard that they do that, but have to leave the wound open. Just a nightmare for a young athlete. Prayers and best wishes.

He's fine, he played last week, and mostly on ST's after Lattimore went down with a concussion in practice.

MRSA is bad enough as it is but having it on the foot might be one of the worst places to get it.
Ended Carl Nicks' career.
