I'm all for us ruining Boston fans and Pasts* HFA hopes. Fuck them. Make them have to go into Denver and injure as many as possible. Start the game with Gronk. Then take out Edelman. Take out Blunt. Throw Brady all over the place and hopefully tear his rotator cuff.

Said that last year knocking the dolphins out of playoff contention. What does that mean to us today? Absolutely nothing. I get your point but we picked ghost in at 6 Sanchez at 5 revis at 14, give me a win against the pats. I could care less about the dolphin game at this point. But would love to shove it up Tom Brady assOh....ok then. Anywayyyyyyys, here's to hoping Rex has his throat stepped on by Bills oh so loveable cheaters. That fat bastard put me in such awful mood that I just want to see him gutted at Metlife. Booed off the goddamn field and everything. Today I drank because of this team. I can't really say I've been pushed to that point before. Fuck Rex Ryan. Fuck John Idzik. I hope we get fucking EMBARRASSED next Sunday. Revis pick six, Brady torching us from start to finish type embarrassed. The type of game that will put that buffoon out of a job for. Fucking. Life. Then hopefully Tennessee beats the Jags and our hopes for Mariota/Winston will be restored.

I disagree. The Jets will not roll over for the Pats. Should've beaten them in NE. Rex will make this a game - what makes anyone believe the Pats are more apt to slowing down the rush attack from the 1st meeting? Geno had a solid game and it was likely the best game on offense the Jets had all year with good balance shown. I don't see why the matchups would dramatically change two months later. The Patriots aren't all that and a bag of chips. F the Pats. If history shows us anything we play one game close, and the other game we get rolled. We already played our 'close' game.

The Pats are a very different team from the one the Jets faced in NE, if Geno is at the helm I see the Pasties winning by at least two scores.

The Pats offense is firing on all cylinders right now and Gronkowski is back to performing like the best TE in the business. The defense is also playing MUCH better ball right now. The last time we played them, we were playing the Tom Brady that everyone said had fallen off a cliff. Now we'll be playing MVP level Tom Brady. We're losing this one by at least two scores. And thank Christ. Because the last thing I want is to further fuck up our draft position or give the short term memory mooks of the fanbase another opportunity to pine for the return of Rex next year.

Actually, Rex often splits with the Pats historically and damn near swept them last season. I don't see much difference on either team - matchups are going to be very similar.
You guys can bet heavily on the Pats - Vegas awaits. I recall a lot of folks on another site were calling for a blowout last time as they were coming off big wins against Cincy and Buffalo. Everyone might be right but I'm not so sure. I'm not ready to crown their asses just yet.

Hoping for that or Connor Cook declaring.

Just a follow-up to all of you who were so certain that these teams were so different after two months. Not the case. I hope none of you bet on the Pats to cover with the 10.5 point spread even though most of you seemed that this was a sure thing. It was sucker money lost. Rex plays this team tough when he doesn't have a turnover machine at QB. He can coach in this league but is better suited to DCoord.
And to all of you: the Patriots are not all that. If they run into a team that can run the ball and defend, they're toast. The blueprint to beating them remains the same. Don't go into a battle of finesse. Out-physical them. Seattle will eat them for lunch in the next Super Bowl. NE is fortunate that Baltimore is down as well as the Jets. No one stands in their way in the AFC outside of a potential Steeler matchup but even that one is a stretch. Denver, Indy, Cincy (for some reason) have no shot at beating NE.

The Jets made it closer than I expected and props to Rex and the players for that. There were three key Patriots inactive because of injuries which played a big factor in how the game played out today. With a bye in the first round the Pasties will have an extra week to get healthy, we both agree that they make it to the Super Bowl. In the Super Bowl, if they do face the Hawks I give the edge to the Hawks but not by as much as you are suggesting. Likewise the Packers would be a good match up with the game going either way. Belidick will have them ready to play.

Homeless Hoodie will have them ready to play. We'll disagree on that for the reason you hinted at - they're undermanned. They will not be able to run nor stop the run and their receivers will have as tough if not tougher time than Denver did last year as the talent comparison isn't very close. Demayrious Thomas, Decker, Welker, Julius Thomas of last year vs Amendola, Gronk, LaFell, Edelman of this year when comparing talent level and the Broncos were manhandled. I don't see NE lighting them up. And they would need to because Seattle will move the ball on that front 7 as stronger teams tend to do this time of year. Another SB mismatch. You and others give way too much credit to a team built to win regular season games.

You and others give way too much credit to a team built to win regular season games. We'll see how it plays out. I listened to Belidick yesterday talk about the years he spent coaching special teams and how they had worked on a way to counter the Jets special teams efforts to prevent the Pasties blocking the field goal. The dude is so anally detail orientated in minutia, thats why I believe his team always has a chance. What bothers me about the modern game of football is the slant towards the offensive side of the ball. It's a cliche we are all tired of but unless you have a top fifteen qb you have a miniscule chance of winning the super bowl. A great defense and a running game is no longer enough. So ultimately it comes down to drafting a qb. If you don't have a top one, then you, the fan, are just handing those dollars to the owner for some bad beer in a parking lot with 70,000 other suckers.
