I agree, Geno won't have to make a lot of throws because of the strength of our running game..oh wait.. Texans are 24th in the league against the run If there's a game to get Ivory going and Ridley added to the mix, it's this one. Let's just hope Ivory stays healthy vs. Buffalo and then rests for 9 days until the next game!

Injury Report released this afternoon. I do think Pryor's absence, even though he's not a major piece in the pass defense, has been a problem for the Jets. He's been a bit of a quarterback in the secondary during the first several weeks of the season. Musical chairs back there with Bailey, etc. has been a big problem IMO. It's hurting us in both the pass and run defense to a degree. Glad to see Mangold back. He's 110% needed against a DLine like Buffalo.

Glad to see Mangold back. He's 110% needed against a DLine like Buffalo. I just hope Mangold is really back and can give us 4 quarters against Buff tonight. He was "back" against Jacksonville, but was only able to go 1 quarter.

He was "back" against Jacksonville, but was only able to go 1 quarter. Heard a stat on Mike & Mike this morning that when rushing between the tackles Chris Ivory averaged 3.7 YPC when Mangold played and something like 2.2 YPC with Mangold out. Also, after leading the league in rushing yards per game over the first several weeks of the season, Ivory has amassed something like 84 yards in the past 3 games COMBINED with only 22 before first contact. That small number of yards before first contact indicate there haven't been any holes opening for Ivory. At least a couple times per game your RB should get a "parting of the sea" on the OLine where he escapes the backfield clean for his first 4-5 yards or so before encountering a LB or Safety. Fixing the running game has to be the #1 priority of the Jets offense right now.

Not only the physical drop off from Mangold and Colon, but the timing and continuity of the blocking may have been seriously disrupted.
