Also this is an attention whore thread. The only reason your posting is because that braindead fucking infant has a chance to start sunday. And he ran out of bounds 2 didn't throw it away the most basic think NFL QBs learn on month 1. Paid no mind to the clock and the fucking coach was so disgusted by him he punt it off with 3 min down 2 scores rather then staying on TV another second for more humiliation but del rio was to dumb to figure that out so gave the ball back to Geno for more Complete Failure. When Fitzpatrick was winning you were like a fucking monk in the hills around here Zero to do with that. I stopped reading after the first sentence. I posted that cause i logged on to my favourite Jets fan site to see what we were talking about, and was shocked (not) to find that all the members had been replaced by a bunch pussies. Big, clammy ham sandwiches, laying on the ground crying about this or that. Fucking women. And yet you started a thread crying about this or that. Oh the ironing.

A year or two away? Somebody better tell Revis/dbrick/Mangold because those centerpieces of the team sure as shit ainy on the rise phases of their careers. Their window is a closing. Too bad for them. Revis got his, and Mangold can pray he sticks long enough. What rookie coach last took their team to a SB? Fuckin' beats me. Not only is this Bowles' first year with the Jets, it's also his first go around as a HC for a full season. Shit's gotta work itself out.

Like your a fucking authority on Football credentials. Your boy Smith is as fucking dumb as that cross eyed fuck Geno. Read a paper asshole i believe the correct spelling of that is either "like you are a fucking authority on Football credentials" or "like you're a fucking authority on football credentials" not "like your a fucking authority on Football credentials".
Your = a possessive adjective. It shows possession, that something belongs to the person you are talking to. e.g. This is not my pen, it is your pen.
You're = You are. It is a contraction (or short way of writing). e.g. You're a crazy muthafucker!!! = You are a crazy muthafucker!!
Thanks but my ged in rikers got me as far as im gonna go. I have bitches type my paper pieces. Oh pardon me my receptionists

I think it's important to defend the right to kvetch. This is what forums are all about, amirite ?
It's hard to not get excited when we have a player like Fitz, playing to the absolute maximum of his limited physical talent and is surrounded with enough talent to string a few wins together. Even a morose depressed cynic like myself, can't help but get a little giddy-up, shit ... it's been a while. The Washington game was a complete fuck-up, that should never have happened. The Pats game, the Jets played well and were beaten by a better team who overcame a million dropped balls of their own. The Raiders, I thought have too much talent and too much going right with Carr,Cooper and company. I expected the Jets to loose but I thought/hoped it might be much closer.
Anybody with a brain watching Fitz run around since the start of the season, knew in their hear, the dude is going to get hurt - it is only a matter of time. The great qbs on great teams do not need to take the same risks, so they don't get hurt. Until he stops running, Fitz is going to get hurt. If he stops running, them this offense likely slips to average, so it's a no win situation.
I expected Geno to return due to a Fitz injury and he has. I also expected him to suck, which he half sucked. What pisses me off is not Geno, he is what he is, a back up qb, with some talent but limited football smarts. What pisses me off is that those o linemen are not rotated more in preseason and in practice so that they are more interchangeable. I hate to reference the Patriots- they have injuries on their oline, but they always heavily rotate their linemen in preseason and in practice. When one goes down, someone else is ready who has had significant exposure to the position. The Mangold back up situation was exposed once before. Why was this not better addressed ? It's a huge loss when Ivory is out but at least we know there is some average replacements. There needs to be more focus on depth and developing talent. I am also pissed at the obsession of the coaching staff with poor pass catchers. I understand the absolute importance of blockers, how crucial it is. That is part of the reason why the Jets have had great success in the running game. What I did not understand is overlooking players on the roster who can hold onto the ball.
That's my current kvetch.

There's a learning curve for 3rd year QBs to know that once outside the pocket they should throw the ball away instead of getting sacked, not once, but twice? Good to know.

I'm not a big believer, in the "We're a year or two away"
The jets have been a year or two a way in the past. Unless you have luck, talent, good drafting (particularly of role players) and hit on a qb ... you are not going to win a Super Bowl. When Mark Sanchez took us to the playoffs, we all dared to dream, he might get better...it might be a year or two away. That was a mirage, Mark was never going to take the next step.
The Jets are not a year or two away. You are either in the hunt or you are not. Currently they are a good enough football team as Leon Hess would say "not to make a horse's ass of themselves".
They may make it to the playoffs, if Fitz can play but that in no way suggests a step further next year or the year after. The QB question is still a question, Fitz is still our best option. Until another qb is discovered, this team in it's current form is not designed to get better. The talent on the roster are mostly over thirty. Too many key older players on the oline, Cromartie and Revis are on the wrong side of 30, I don't see it. Mathematically possible but statistically unlikely.

not even sure who's trying to call who for what. The point is: The jets are not an A-grade NFL franchise right now. They're trending in that the direction, but it's a year or two away. How long did it take for Coughlin to take the Giants to the SB? Harbaugh? Carroll? Why the fuck are you guys EXPECTING Todd and company to be flawless? .....This game (and others) will HELP Todd assess who needs to GTFO later, next year etc. One things for sure. No one in this fan base would be bitching about Todd Gurley right now. Im not seeing what you're talking about I don't think... Everyone seems pretty damn level headed to me... Just trashing shit ass Genope because it was clealy confirmed he is a fuckin bum who should not be holding a roster spot over even Jaiquan Jarret.

Year or two away?
Do you know what our OL is gonna look like in two years? We are gonna need the two most important spots.
Revis and Cro are win now players. How many more years does Harris have? Marshall and Decker are veterans.
A year is an eternity in the NFL. You cant plan two years in advance.

The problem with this team is they suck you in I try so hard to not get emotionally involved. I try to take the wait and see approach on how the season goes before I go all in. So we're 4-1, playing the Cheats and I go all in. Now we're 4-3 Life of a Jets fan. THEY SUCK YOU IN.....hahahahaa every time i say I'm not touching the kool-aid I get suckered into having a glass I get punched in the nuts afterwards every time

I love that feeling and always will. But when they lose, the bunch of years recently I don't let it taint my mood much. I turned my late Son into a freak of a fan. He loved Dallas..couldn't get him to root for the Jets once he discovered the Cowboys in the 90s...he would literally let a Dallas loss color his mood... 2 days of anger. I used to be just like that..I wonder where he learned that shit.... It's nothing more that money making show business, and as soon as that's realized the easier it is to deal with loss.

NE has destroyed the game, to the point they no longer call them games in order to not get sued for fixing "exhibitions" and allowing one organization to cheat with no consequence.

Plus this is a team that is still building with a rookie HC and a patchjob at QB.....life goes on

Geno comes into a game where the defense fell asleep, has no running game WHATSOEVER, no reps with starters, and takes heat from you fuckpigs for what.... NOT MOUNTING A 21 PT COMEBACK??? I never get my panies in a bunch over football. It frustrates me at times but it's only football. I never thought Geno or the Jets were going to mount a comeback but I would have liked to see him play better than a rookie. He ran out of bounds for a loss and took two sacks for a loss when he could have easily thrown it away. If he shouldn't get heat for that, then when the fuck should he or anyone else ever get heat? It's laughable that you don't think a third year QB deserves deserves heat for playing that bad.
