So sick of this "elite" bullshit. What does it even mean. It means new englander media and ex players wanna have gay anal sex with them. kind of a popularity contest spurned lover type thing.

Agreed. He had one great play today and one bad one that I can remember. After last season's disaster at cornerback, we should still be praising Revis. That dropped INT hurt. IF not a pick 6 it would have been in the red zone for the Jets. Then again he broke up a pass that Williams wound up catching and getting credit for the INT The bad play I meant was when he got burned on a double move by, I believe, Robinson. He bit hard and it went for like a 30-yard gain. But yeah, that INT hit him RIGHT in the chest. Can't believe he dropped it.

When all things are said and done, I'm certain Revis will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
How's your HOF campaign coming along, Darren?
Yeah. Exactly.

Revis is almost as overrated as Gronkowski. Travis Kelce would be 50% better than Gronk in an offense with Tom Brady. And Tom Brady is overrated because of a consistent, varied, and methodical approach to cheating and deception that's been ingrained in that organization ever since Bill Belidick arrived. Only a senile old man hidden away in his mother's basement in Texas would even attempt to dispute the facts above. That is all. right. and more to the point, the patsies only bring on the cheating when they need to make a play. football is a game of inches and games hinge on a few keys plays, mainly due to parity. so if they have inside info about what the other team is going to do it's not like they'll use that information the whole game. they'll wait until the game needs icing or they need to win outright. i will concede this though. no one on the patsies takes plays off.

Indeed. All corners get beat. Deion got beat. Champ Bailey got beat. Charles Woodson got beat. Sherman gets beat. Peterson gets beat. Revis got beat. He still gets beat less than just about any other CB, maybe ever. The piling on is ridiculous.

I think people are holding him the absurd 2009 standard where he absolutely never got beat. But that was a legendary season on his part, esp given the PI rules these days. Even though he has slowed down a tick w/ injury/age he's extremely good and rarely has a bad day (and even his bad day was against one of the absolute best receivers in the league this year)

With dumbass decisions like that, no wonder it is 46 years and still counting. SOJ.

The reason people are making a big deal out of this is because it has always been so rare to see Revis get beat. That's why people noticed, and why Hopkins has been beating his chest about it. No-one would make a song and dance about an average corner getting beat. It's because Revis has been so great for so long, and is still very good, that people are shouting about it.

The funny thing about Hopkin's acting like a little asshole about it, is that the guy has been elite in terms of production for one fucking year. Thump your chest when you have done it for longer junior.

Watkins had Revis running in circles. Unfortunately for Watkins, Taylor can barely get the ball to him.
