Well, what this game really means is that the Jets can get their first win against a team that's at least .500.
The Jets are 5-3. Their 5 wins have come against Cleveland (2-7), Indy (4-5), Miami (3-5), Washington (3-5) and Jacksonville (2-6). That's a combined 14-28 record of the teams the Jets have beat. Their losses have been against the 4-4 Eagles, 8-0 Patriots and 4-4 Raiders.
If we want to talk playoffs, we have to start beating decent teams. That starts tomorrow!

Forget about Rex revenge on the Jets. This will be Chan and Fitz revenge on Buffalo.

I think our secondary being so banged up is going to be the deciding factor in this game. We have virtually a non existent pass rush so whatever QB is playing this week has time to find the TE or slot receiver roaming the middle. I'm really concerned this week...not about the usual stuff, offense cant consistently score, we dont have a QB, our line isnt getting any push, etc
Its the secondary that is so banged up which unfortunately why we lost so many games last year as well.

LOL, where do you come up with a stat like that, do you keep notes on the jets win loss records? Your funny. A Bills fan posted that. However, it is not true. Jets are 5-2 all time in Thurs night games: "Also worth noting is that the bright lights don’t intimidate these Jets, as they come in with a 5-2 record in Thursday Night Football games, as well as in their last seven home games overall." You know I threw you some rep here...and it never hit the ground; it just dropped out of sight. How do you get negative 45 rep? Is that a brown belt?

@dd -Bill Walsh handled "bullies" with ease. I am watching Bowles tonight; watching how he attacks Rex. Effort? I'd better see 11 Deckers out there.

It will certainly be interesting. We'll see what Tyrod Taylor is made of under the national spotlight. I think that can be key.

Just one out of 16, business as usual, blah, blah, blah. Yeah right. Rex slapped the entire franchise in the face, especially Bowles, when he made IK a captain for this game. Rex is 2-17 coming off a win since 2012. 2 and fucking 17. But this is their Super Bowl. They are gonna pull out all the stops. And Rex is gonna sell out to stop Ivory. Another lackadaisical performance and I dont know what to think about Bowles. This is a statement game. I dont care if it is just a regular season game. I expect a huge effort out of our players for Bowles. The past 9 quarters have been horseshit. If they have any pride they will do their coach proud and carry him off the field at the end of the game. Sorry but you're out of you're mind. Is it a big game for Rex and us for that matter? Sure but Rex's super bowl will always be Hoodie and Brady. Bowles is all business in front of the cameras but knows how to get his guys fired up.This right here....I don't doubt for one second that he didn't go off last night in the final team meeting about how this guy is disrespecting them and their teammate. He'll do the same in the pre-game speech. He's just smart enough to know the game isn't won in a war of the words through the media and has instilled that notion in all of his players. Jets 31 Bills 13 Rex at the post game podium gives his usual blah blah blah we got our asses kicked but it's my fault speech that we've all heard countless times before.

That's such an overrated concept. The Pats have also only beaten 2 teams with a winning record...the Jets and the Steelers (5-3 and 5-4)...and they struggled to beat them both at home. Otherwise their wins have come against the Bills (4-4) the Jags (2-6) the Cowboys (2-6) the Colts (4-5) Phins (3-5) and the Redskins (3-5) Does that say much about the Pats?

If we win this game you can bet I'm staying up to watch Rex's presser afterwards. I'm also hoping they commit 12-14 penalties, hopefully with at least 2 12 men on the field flags.
