We have been trending down. No question. And we have a hard time winning when we arent binging on turnovers. Pryor has been improved but I have a really hard time thinking this is bc of his absence. But if it is then that doesnt speak wel of the rest of the unit I think Pryor's absence has a lot to do with the down-turn. He plays like another LB in the box, is a great tackler, and does a pretty good job when called on to pressure the QB. Plus, while he does not excel at coverage, he holds his own on the short stuff. His possesses the skill set of an all pro SS. What makes matters worse, no one on the roster has anywhere near his abilities. Whoever plays in his absence, it is a huge drop-off.

I agree his Leadership qualities and redzone efficiency are good, however it does not make him any better than what he was before he came here, a game manager that needs turnovers and a good running game for him to succeed. He's been on 5 different teams and was traded from a team that is still looking for n a answer at QB, he's limited and he's never goin to carry this team on his back. Don't disagree with you. He is better than what we have had for a while, but not as good as what we want/need if we ever want to be an elite team. Just shows how sorry the state of our QB play has been for much of the past decade that Fitz is a significant improvement over anything we have run out there for the last few years. I mean wow, can you imagine if this was a certain dumb black QB?

Hard to believe that stat especially after being told by VTN that Fitz's long ball is better than Brady's.

We may not need perfection. What we do need is turnovers. We have forced 18 of them in 5 wins, but only 1 in the 4 losses. We can afford something less than perfection if we can force turnovers -- take away possessions, give the offense short fields and the O continues to convert in the red zone. and more to the point, they need to stop gifting to the other team. take away the 13 or so points they gifted the bills and the ppg average for the last four drops 3 points. this is where the offense can help the defense and vice versa.

Perfection? How about one more stop against a Buff offense that hadn't done a thing in over a quarter. How about forcing a fucking turnover?

Jets forced a turnover by blocking a punt in the red zone against the Bills. The offence fucked it up. They never blocked a punt, the Bills botched the play when the punter dropped the ball after the snap. It's not classed as a turnover for the Jets because it was 4th down, it's just a turnover on downs
