I was there early and stayed the whole game but in defense of people who left early, it was a blowout and it was the Sunday at the end of the 4 day Thanksgiving weekend. The traffic getting home to Long Island sucked. I don't blame anyone who left early.

However, if the Jets would of built the stadium downtown, instead of a swamp, people would likely stay around, then walk to bars, and restaurants, to re-hash the game (good or bad), and the party would continue. One thing I can definitely say is the stadium in NYC, as impractical as that may have been, would be a thousand times better than the new dump in the sump. I hate the new stadium, seats too small, too close, and too poorly designed. So many ads you can't even get a score in the place of another NFL game. Too many other complaints to list It would of been nice. Impractical, but nice.

So very true. A west side stadium would have been the greatest thing for this franchise. They blew it big time. Thank you Shelly Silver! He's the bastard that put the final nail in the west side stadium coffin. Glad he's being brought up on corruption charges. Hope he gets life.

I know. All those Super Bowls and division championships the KC Chiefs have won in the last 50 years. You never see their fans in the seats for every game. My guess is you're are young fan. Probably in your 20's or 30's. I was once like you my friend. However. Now I have two kids 10&8. I have unfortunetly now poisoned and infected my 10 year old son with the same Jet disease I was poisoned with 35 years ago. Though I can still say I have never once missed a game be it on TV or in the stands. I use to have season tickets back in the old stadium - no way I was paying for a PSL. All I was trying to say is this. I have had absolutely zero return on my investment with the Jets . The way they built this stadium – it's an absolute fucking nightmare to get out of after games . I don't blame anybody for leaving early . Maybe if they could just once field a team with A legitimate chance to win a championship- I might hang around. Just getting real tired of the same shot at 45 years old that I saw when I was eight years old. No man I'm 41 years old. Been a fan taking a beating up in Pats and Giants country since I was a kid in the early '80's. My hat is off to you and all the other long time season ticket holders. My point is when is the past going to be left in the past? There isn't one thing other than the team name that is the same from the Rich Kotite Era. Nothing. It's the fans that seem to hold this almost prideful hate of their own team. Same old Jets. It's like a badge of honor for some. Almost like some fans like being miserable. I'm just saying it seems unless the team is kicking ass alot of the fans have better shit to do than show up and cheer the entire game. I don't have to deal with the drive after I get it. But you know its part of buying season tickets so why bitch about it. It would just be nice to have a true home field advantage if the team is fighting for a playoff spot. The team seems to have to be close to the Pats in the division or have beat the Pats earlier in the year to have the place packed from start to finish.
